Ripley is doing great today.
It's an odd-weather day for Sacto: cloudy, drizzly, some thunder, in the 70s. Perfect backyard-basking-weather for Ripplestiltskin. She doesn't even mind a few water drops landing on her every now and then.

We are so glad Checkers is feeling better (**enter big sigh of relief here**) and we hope he continues feeling good.
We are also sending vines to Gussie today. Hope his appy improves.

OT: Tomorrow is the first day of the new school year. My classroom is 98% ready... Can't decide if I should go in today or early tomorrow to finish up. I tend to not sleep very well the night before the first day (you'd think that after 16 years I wouldn't have first-day-butterflies!), so perhaps I'll just go in early tomorrow. Today is baking day: each year I make an apple treat of some kind for the teachers at my school. Our apple tree gave us a zillion Granny Smiths this summer, so I get to put my apple-coorer/peeler to work! I'm thinking Apple Hand Pies.... mmmmmmmmmm.

p.s. How sweet of you to bake treats for all the teachers! I made treats, too, but only for the front office staff & counselors & my band & orchestra teachers. Otherwise, I'd have killed myself trying to make over 100 treats! haha! Happy Labor Day!

Hi, Deborah Thanks on the school year! My school is a tiny private preschool & kindergarten, only about 12 teachers. Makes baking for the teachers very doable .

I just went out in the backyard to test Rippo ~ it's still overcast, but she was sleeping below the dryer vent. Smart kitty is staying extra warm :lol: (It isn't even cold outside ~ probably in the low 80s right now :lol: ).

Hmmm... at this rate, she's going to have a higher-than-normal pmps... unless she decides to surf away the afternoon in the 90s.

Just stopped by to check in on Ripley. Glad to see her doing so great!! Beast still doing good as well, just checking her BG ever couple of days now. I love that Ripley is out in the yard enjoying the day!

Ripley is doing great today! I sooooo want to taste your apple hand pies, Josie, yum. Happy first day of school tomorrow - I taught English to elementary age kids in Taiwan for four years and loved it, so I totally envy you right now
