I guess I did a stupid thing last night. I weighed J.D. and he was 11lbs 12.5oz, and his last weight which for some reason I don't have recorded on my spreadsheet was 11lbs 15oz about a week ago. I have this case of Iams Max Cal and it just sits here, and so I thought I would see if J.D. would eat it. He did. He seemed to like it and washed and washed and washed his face afterwards which is what he tends to do when he really appreciates his food. But, he was sitting on the top stairs of the basement while he was doing this and after a bit I heard something (not good) and he had fallen I guess down to the third step and caught himself. He was frozen there, and eventually I got him to climb back up to the main floor. Then he would not eat a thing. Not even Temptations. I don't know if the Iams Max Cal is not good for pancreatitis or he was just still shook up from his almost fall down the stairs.
I'm going to try to find a baby gate.

I gave J.D. some cypro last night and he ate fine eventually.

This morning he acted fine and ate most of his 1st Breffis and then threw it all up on the deck. We went for a walk and he kind of went to knibble the grass but didn't really eat any. Then he went poo (formed, but probably soft and stinky) on the grass. He also pooed last night. Once we got home I gave him some Ondansetron and Pepcid.

I wish to get his numbers more even. I wish for more days like last Sunday, where he was fairly flat and didn't dive and bounce. I wish his bounces were shorter, and less high.

I hope his tummy feels better and he eats well today, and I come home to a nice blue number.

On Saturday morning, he has to fast from midnight until his Cobalamin test at 7:40am. I will bring some food for him to eat on the drive home.

Sending comfort and hugs to Barb, and healing vines to all who need them.

Re: 09/05 J.D. AMPS HI

J.D. just had diarrhea.
At least he's eating, and seems to feel like himself. He ate 1/2 jar of baby food after we got in from out walk, and then just ate some FF with FortiFlora after the stinky prezzie I just cleaned up. :-|

Re: 09/05 J.D. AMPS HI

Thank you. He had come down to 478 at +1.5 when I left the house, so hopefully he's coming down nice and easy, today.

J.D. seems to be feeling fine. He ate his 1st Dinner and his 2nd Dinner.
A lot of the left out food was eaten and his fur felt soft, so maybe he had a good day, who knows.

I gave him some R when I got home at PMPS.

I cancelled J.D.'s vet appointment for Saturday, because they insist that he has to fast for 12 hours in order for the Cobalamin test to be acurate and maybe that's why he got such a high test result the first time. The first time about 4 weeks ago, I fasted him from midnight until 7:40am when he got his test and the result was >2000 (reference range is 276 - 1425). I said to the vet that I can't just give him insulin and not feed him (I meant the whole cycle), but I think she thought I meant right after giving the insulin because she said you can delay the insulin until after the test.
I told her that he gets his shots at 6 and 6. Whatever. I couldn't really afford it anyway.

I was giving weekly injections of 15 units of Cyanocobalamin (for Pancreatitis, or to ward off Pancreatitis) and daily tablets of Zobaline methylcobalamin (for neuropathy). The doctor said to stop one or he other, so I stopped the injections and continued the Zobaline. I told the doctor I want to switch it around and to stop the methylcobalamin and start the cyanocobalamin weekly injections. She said to give the injections once a month and then said to stop the methyl for 5 days, and then start the injections once a week and retest him after 4 weeks. That's the plan Stan. I still don't know how I am supposed to give him insulin at 6:00pm, and feed him until 7:40pm and then not feed him again until after the test at 7:40am the next day. That is just inviting a last last minute cancellation, if you ask me. Like at 2:00am in the morning when I decide he has gone too low and needs to be fed
