Yes, it could be. If his pancreas is working well, when he eats a meal his pancreas will release some insulin to bring his numbers down. I guess you can't wake up and feed him at +4 and +8? A timed feeder would help to do this.
Also, while he is newly in remission you'll want to feed him many small meals throughout the day and night as that is easiest on the pancreas.

That's what I thought.
He seems hungrier when i spread out those 3 cans all day. Like he never has the feeling of being full.

When they are on insulin it's often said to give them a main meal at PS times and mini meals spread throughout the day, but since he's not on insulin, it's easier on the pancreas if his meals are evenly divided I think. Poor Pixie wants to feel filled up. Does he need to gain weight? Maybe you could give him a little more if he does.

The vet said 13lbs. is good for him.
He's part manx...short little legs and kinda stocky build.

TWS (testing withdrawal syndrome) has hit poor Lauri,
But that isn't all the story,
Pixie is doing great,
already on day 4 and doesn't want to be late,
numbers are looking good,
knock on wood,
CD has asked for pictures,
an OTJ video is a Lantus Land fixture,
10 more days and then we celebrate,
Pixie is looking forward to the falls where he can vegetate!

Go Pixie! You could also feed him as soon as you wake up, then test him a couple of hours later.

I have no problem testing, but I thought you only test 3 hours later if am reading was in the blue.
