Wow...you may need to go down to .1u for Trouble and see how he does. 42 is just a little too low

This is what that looks like

Just to make a clarification...

An AMPS (or PMPS) number is the test value when you shoot. So, since you tested at your PM +12 and got an 84 then stalled, that number is your +12, not your AMPS. When you tested at +13.75, got a 138, and then shot, the 138 is your AMPS. I think the rest of the numbers on your SS are entered in the right place.

Your PM shot should be 12 hours from when you shot this morning. You can move the shot time back by 15 min. at each shot or by 30 min. once a day until your back at your preferred shot time.

I also want to encourage you when you get numbers in the 40s, you need to be feeding something other than LC food and to test more often than every hour. There is no margin for error with numbers in the 40s especially when it's early in the cycle. Trouble could have just as easily dropped into the 20s or lower as having numbers that stayed flat. Safety is always the primary concern. We typically encourage you to feed HC food and re-test every 20 - 30 min. until your kitty is in the 50s or higher numbers. You may want to look at this post that provides instructions on handling low numbers.

Oh, I was not aware of that, thanks.

I did check him every 20 mins or less, and his low was 40 between the +5.5 and +6, he also had a little more food right at
that lowest reading.

Hi Chris,

should I start the .10 with the PM shot, or start that change tomorrow ?

If you can enter the numbers from the "in between" tests on your SS, that will help. I had no way to know you were testing. I'm glad you were. I would still have fed something other than LC to get the numbers up.

Re: Trouble AMPS 84, +2.75/42 +5/41 +6/57

Unless Trouble has a really big bounce at PMPS time, you should go with the .1 tonight.

There is something called "shooting through the bounce", where IF there's a big bounce, you would go ahead and give the same dose one more time, and then take the reduction on the next cycle, but that's only if there is a big bounce.

If it were China, I'd "shoot through the bounce"...BUT, Trouble is much more sensitive to insulin than China. If you do, you'd want to make sure to get some mid-cycle tests in tonight...just to be safe.
