I dropped him down to the 1.63u dose and Michelangelo seems to be holding up much better for the last week or so and not dropping too low or making me nervous when I leave him alone for a few hours. It looks like he's due for another increase soon, though, so it'll be back up to a skinny 1.75u.

Mikey actually caught a mouse yesterday. First time I've ever seen him with a (once) living creature considering it's Henry who is the predator. Since we don't have mice in our backyard and Michelangelo has never left our backyard, I can only assume it's a mouse that Henry caught and brought over the fence and let loose for Michelangelo to hunt and catch. What a considerate little bro.

I've already forgotten if Mikey's +6 was 145 or 165. I'm going with the higher number for now, but from this number and his eating habits (i.e. he doesn't really eat during the day any more), he'll probably still be low by pre-shot tonight. If I don't see any more greens tonight, I'll bump him back up to that skinny 1.75.

In other news, the project I'm on is winding down so probably only one more week of this hectic schedule and I'll be back to my regular pace again and posting here more. :-D

Of course you know the reason for that? The mice could come under, over, around, or through any fence if they wanted.

I've never had a mouse in the house either.

All it apparently takes is about a year with no cat and you're soon back to overrun. ohmygod_smile

Nah, we had the entire backyard solidly blocked off preventing any escape (or entry) when we had our pet rabbit living back there. We have reed fencing put up around the entire perimeter so no holes for anything to get through. Then, when Mikey was still an itty-bitty 10 oz kitten, I made extra sure that not even the wee little tyke could squeeze through anywhere. Didn't even know we had mice in my area until Henry brought the first one home about a month ago.

I suppose that's possible if you never feed the birds? Can't remember do you feed the birds?

I personally don't feed the birds and I have the full complement of mice in the garage. But never one in the house.

I finally figured out why Chip always wants in the garage, when I saw him chasing a mouse this summer. But he doesn't get to go there unsupervised. @-)
