Whew!! What a long day it's been!! Had to go to the pain clinic for my pump refill and invited mom to "go along for the ride" to get her out of the Assisted Living center, and so of course, everything went wrong. Got up there without problems, (except for a warning light in the car which went out as soon as we got close to the Toyota dealership) but then trying to go to get some lunch, a bus had been hit in the middle of a main intersection so everyone was being re-routed all over the place to get back where (if we weren't re-routed) would have been 100 feet up the road. Columbia's claim to fame is the University, and that's where were were routed through..at lunchtime..with kids all over the place (By the way, when did they start letting little kids go to college? Some of those kids looked like they were 12...or maybe I'm just getting old????)
Finally got to a Steak & Shake (mom loves their french fries and since she's not been eating very well, was hoping she'd eat better) and got some lunch, and after that finally headed back home...was gone from 8:30 to 3:30 and was really worried about China ..she doesn't usually drop at +2 so of course I worried about how low she was going the entire time..Couldn't really "Rush" mom because she was enjoying getting out so much.
Of course China did just fine, and my "In the door" test was 85 so she could very well have gone lower, but there's no way to know..unless maybe she bounces tonight...that's a pretty good sign!
Hope everyone has had a great Fursday and that all your kitties are safely surfing in the pretty blue and green lagoons!!
