Yesterday

Trix seems to be settling into last weekend's reducie now...very nice start for today!

Noah is continuing to improve. He's eating pretty normally and has not thrown up since Sunday evening, when the ER vet gave him the cerenia injection. He's not his usual ball of energy just yet, but he does seem to have more spring in his step today than he did yesterday.

Of course, to keep things rolling, civvie Petey's appy is a bit off today. He ate a ton last night, and today his energy is normal (he has a crazy high energy level...this cat cannot play enough!). SO...hairball (he's about due)? feeling my stress? being a cat? I don't know. He hasn't thrown up, and he's behaving totally normally, just not eating his usual amount. And I'm so hyper-sensitive to every little nuance.

Thanks for the info about the cerenia pills. I actually did know it came in oral form, too. The ER vet felt the injection was better and didn't want to bother giving us pills because she felt we'd have a hard time getting them into him due to the vomiting. I also think that, in part, she wanted to be sure we followed up with our regular vet if he continued to vomit, and not giving us the meds was a way to do that...but that's just my theory. I have to admit, I am TERRIBLE at pills - they terrify me. On Sunday, we got a Pepcid into Noah via Pill Pocket, but he wised up quickly and wouldn't touch another. I'm so much better with shots and liquids.

I'm off again today...rearranged my schedule so I could keep an eye on things. I am NOT hovering....I swear!

Petey has eaten a little more, and he's running around the house like his usual crazy self. He does do this once in a while...has a day when he just doesn't eat quite as much as usual, so hopefully this is just one of those days. Like I said, right now, because of Noah, I'm so hyper-sensitive, and I really hope no one else comes down with whatever it is/was Noah has....

Sorry to miss your condo over the long weekend and very sorry to hear that Noah wasn't feeling well. I hope he's on the mend. Healing vines for him (and, just in case, for Petey, too).

I hear you on the pilling ~ I have to start pilling R's pepcid now that she dislikes the crushed/masked-with-treats version. No fun. Maybe she'll get used to it... Maybe I'll get used to it...

A nice slide into PMPS for Trix.

Both Noah and Petey seem to be doing fine....fingers crossed, anti-jinx. Pete hasn't eaten as much as usual today, but that happens from time to time. His energy was definitely VERY normal...he tries to occupy as much of MamaBean's time as possible on her days off!
