Last Night:
418 PMPS
495 +3
333 +11.5

After that +3 last night, I decided it would be a good night for sleeping. I just checked my meter to see if I didn't do a sleep test, and there's nothing there, so I didn't.

J.D. just started throwing up some bile (actually, I've haven't seen any bile, yet, but I see him trying) the past few mornings and I've given him some Pepcid after the fact. This morning when he got out of bed and walked into the living room to join me at +11.5, I gave him some Pepcid right away, and he did not feel the need to throw up.

He ate almost all of his 1st Breffis at AMPS, and I should have added Miralax, but I didn't. At +0.5, he ate some of some FF Beef Feast I offered him (he hasn't had beef in a while). I have had these Stella & Chewy Carnivore Crunch Beef nuggets or treats, for a while, that he has never liked. I offered him one last night while I was looking through my store of treats and he ate one. He ate two this morning. Sometimes, you just have to wait, and they might like it later.. :)

It is really cold outside, so the cats went out and then came right back in. As soon as I'm dressed for work and my hair is dry, I'll take the cats out (both on leashes) for a quick walk. The next two days are supposed to have lows in the 20s, so I had to bring my house plants in from the deck this morning.

I hope everyone has a good day. Healing Vines being sent to all who need some.

Come on down JD! Glad the pepcid seems to have helped his pukies. Glad he likes his "new" treats. Have a great day Dyana!

Re: 10/23 J.D. AMPS 383

I'm glad the pepcid helped settle J.D.'s tummy. I hadn't heard about the temps in the 20s...yikes. SOooo not ready for that!

Have a great day, Dyana!

Hi guys .. haha too funny on your "store of treats" I think we all have those cabinets!! Hopefully J.D. comes on back down for you today .. have a great day guys!

Re: 10/23 J.D. AMPS 383

Hi Dyana,

It is so nice when they decide they like something the second, or third, time it is offered :-D

Wow, on those temps. My sis in Ocean County, is readying her chicken coop for these temps too. We here in FL, are getting ready for the 40-50's for nighttime lows :-D :-D Looking forward to them.

Hope the kitties liked their walk, and you have a great day. I have never sleep tested, but I wish I could

Re: 10/23 J.D. AMPS 383, +1.5 253

Right before I walked out the door, I tested J.D. and saw this dropping number and went around and topped off all their bowls of food (5 or 6) with MC.
I just hope this slowed the drop and he is surfing nicely, today.

Re: 10/23 J.D. PMPS 421

I don't know if J.D. went lowish today, but that out the door test had me a little worried.
He's on Levemir, so he shouldn't be dropping like a rock at +1.5. I wonder if he's getting a late late nadir :?

Anyway, I arrived home from work to find both kitties snuggling in the doggy bed. J.D. was a little slow to rise, but that happens when you're his age. He soon climbed up his cat tree and got his vitamin. He was headed back to his bed, when I said "No, J.D., wait, we're going for a walk." as I was posting on the board. He can hear when he wants to. He came back and climbed up his cat tree again (which is next to my computer and is like a spiral staircase up to the back of the couch).
We went for a long walk tonight (around two condo buildings). He was anxious to get out, but wanted to eat grass, like he did this morning. No throw ups, but he's been craving the grass. I guess I should let him eat it before it all goes dormant this winter.

Re: 10/23 J.D. PMPS 421

I am glad that J.D. stomach is feeling better. That's great that you take walks with the cats. I am trying to picture it?

Re: 10/23 J.D. PMPS 421

That's great the Pepsid helps him feel better. I keep trying to grow cat grass in the house for these guys, but they are too impatient and rip it all out the minute it sprouts (hiding it doesnt work either  ) I better try another batch soon, there's already snow on the ground here! Hope JD's numbers come down for you!!! :-D

Re: 10/23 J.D. PMPS 421

They had to start going on leashes with me, when we lived even more out in farm country, there was a feral cat who kept fighting with J.D. and Buddy (GA). After three vet visits (The feral cat was always slashing the area near the dock of the tail, and J.D. coming home one day and not able to move his back legs because of the nerve damage done the last time), they both took to the leashes quite well. When Ginger came along, she didn't take long to learn to walk on a leash and sometimes,, when she's good., she can walk along on a leash like a high stepping show pony and I am so proud of her, tail held high, and prancing, and listening to whatever I say (and obeying), ..when she's bad, she's sassy and hissy..

Time to get them out for one last quick walk, and then bed time.

He had 12% FF Roasted Turkey for his 1st Dinner, and at +2.75 he got up suddenly and was observed munching away on the YAZC. He just ate another 1/4+ can of 12%. I'll set an alarm for +5.
