Michelangelo is now at a solid 2u. I'm really hoping to see some greens tonight. He's still not back up to his 2.5u levels from back when he got sick in August, so I'm not too worried about it. I'm still just wondering what happened to cause such a sharp decrease in his need of insulin and now this steady rise back up that's taking waaaay too long to get back to pre-colitis dosage levels. I even have a couple of Think Tank posts asking about it.
Oh, well. :YMSIGH: I knew that I'd encounter some strange things with him vs. adult feline diabetics, but this is one I'm still looking for a reason why...kinda like how I'm still trying to figure out what's "broken" in his pancreas. Is it insulin resistance or a problem in the insulin manufacturing process or in the monitoring of sugar levels or a million other things?
