Well, Good Friday Morning to everyone !

Wanted to give a shout out to Marje for helping Monet and I made through the waves last night... she was AWESOME!
Monet and I would not have made it without her. This was our first time surfing and man what a ride it was :lol:

Now, I need some of you experts out there to explain to me what all these numbers mean as far as how Monet is responding.
I fell rather stupid when it comes to all of this.

Monet is acting normal this A.M. ... What a trooper he was having to be pricked so many times last night.
His AMPS was 105 ...I feed him and gave him his .10 unit of insulin. Based on last nights behavior I told my DH to make sure to feed him again around the +3 hour since that is when his BG dropped. Let me know if any you think we should be doing something different.

I got about 3 hours of sleep last night and already at work so today is going to be tough. I am just so happy tomorrow is Saturday :RAHCAT :RAHCAT

What the numbers mean is that the .1 dose is a good one for Monet!! We WANT them surfing those low blue and green numbers!

Those are great "pancreas healing" numbers

Rise, for some reason, your spreadsheet isn't automatically coloring in the cells, so you might need to do it yourself (at least until we can figure out why it's not doing it)
To color the cells yourself, just go to the top of the page, and directly under where it says "File, Edit, View, Insert,etc" there's a line of icons, starting with a little printer. If you follow that line over towards the middle, you'll see a little paint can that looks like it's tipping over. If you click that little paint can, a color chart pops up for you to pick the color you want.

You highlight the cell, then click the paint can and choose the correct color for that number (a lot of green and blue!!)

You and Monet are doing great!! Surf safely Monet while your mamabean is at work to make the money for that yummy fuds! cat_pet_icon

Glad what you guys have me doing now is healing for Monet's pancreas!

I wonder if my ss is not behaving properly because I am utilizing my ipad to do it. I know there are several things that don't behave as they do on a desk top or lap top. I will attempt to change on ipad but may have to wait and look at it at home on desktop. I wondered why Monet's SS was not as pretty and colorful as some of you guys were. :lol:

Good evening LL... Just tested Monet and his PMPS BG was 91. Feed and gave him his .10 unit of nsulin. From last nights experience I guess I need to test again at +1 since his ps number was just 91 ????
I hope 2nite is not going 2 b like last night....after only getting 3 hrs of sleep I am running on empty....but want 2 do what's best for my baby.

I started to write a reply earlier, but I don't know where it went!

What I was going to say was that while you may be new to surfing, Monet looks like quite the pro. :mrgreen: He has been surfing at around the same number ever since you resumed insulin. Best case scenario is that he will just keep right on going until it is time to try removing that last drop of insulin, and maybe he won't even notice.

The data you gathered last night is great. I doubt another all-nighter will be required, since Monet has been staying so nice and flat on this tiny dose. A +1 would be a good idea since you shot low and you don't have any +1's on your spreadsheet. It's a good opportunity to see whether Monet spikes from his food. Then you can decide from there what other tests will be needed.

Very nice indeed. I agree with Libby that it looks like Monet has this surfing down pat. Perhaps he could give lessons?



I'll be around again tonight as soon as I give Gracie her insulin which is about 20 mins. But I think you and Monet got it!

What a great little surfer Monet is!! I agree with Marje..maybe Monet could give some lessons?

If Monet can stay in those pretty (and normal) numbers for a week on the .1, we can start thinking about an OTJ trial too. There is a smaller dose, but let's cross that bridge when we come to it

Yes...we can see where he is, but he might not even need that smaller dose. He might just decide 0.1u is his last dose
