11/13 Jupiter - update

Hey everyone wanted to post a quick update. Jupiter is recovering from his chemo treatment (9 days ago). His appy isnt great but still improving. He has been so incredibly playful these past few days! I want to capture a video of him for you all to see, but everytime I get the camera he stops! Silly boy! I will work on getting a video. Cant wait for everyone to see how much progress hes made! When he runs, you cant really tell hes missing a leg, because hes finally learned how to run at normal speed! Normal speed is the speed compared to the other cats when they run, and Jupe sure does keep up! I havent seen him this playful in years!! He used to be this playful as a kitten and its so amazing to see him feeling well enough to play again!

I can tell he isnt feeling well at times but for the most part he seems to be feeling better then he did after chemo. It usually just takes a few days to get him feeling better again. We gotta work on this appy issue though. And hes still getting 1/8tsp miralax daily, which we either mix into some gravy from HC shreds in gravy or the juice from a FF appetizer.

His next chemo treatment (his 3rd treatment of the 5 he needs) is scheduled for Saturday 11/23.

I havent checked his BG recently but plan to within the next day or two.

What a wonderful Jupiter report! I love that he's back "up to speed" now that he's healed from his surgery. Gosh, you guys are just the most inspirational beans...you have been through so much and stood solidly by your boy through all of it. Have a great night, Jamie!

I am so glad to hear the Jupiter is recovering nicely. It must be wonderful to see him active and playful.

I'm so happy to hear Jupe is feeling better and running around like a kitten!!

Jupiters chemo has been reschedule for Friday Nov 22nd. He will be getting an ultrasound and xrays done to make sure that there are no signs of any cancer to make sure his treatment is working. Bloodwork is on Thursday. With chemo being a few days early this time, I am really hoping all is well with his bloodwork.

that's great! he sounds happy and playful - the best! i'm sure his appy will return as he gets further away from the chemo.

will he end up with a kitty prosthetic leg? i saw something about them on Animal Planet a little while ago. it was just amazing.

Hi Jamie, I'm always so happy to see post on Jupe on FB it is just so amazing that he is acting like a kitten again, I hope your getting some much needed rest yourself now, keep up with you too!
