Well...if you liked Cobb's PMPS number, you're gonna like his AMPS even better! :-D

Last night's recap:

Cobb is well this morning. He came into baby bean's room to get some love while I was rocking him last night. And then he started messing with a plastic bag in our room, which he hasn't done in awhile. In addition to under the crib, he thinks right in front of the bathroom is an excellent place to nap.

Looks like all 5 P's are in place this morning. Cobb and I are anxious to see what today brings!

I'm sending psychic "settle in to this dose" vibes to Cobb today. i do like that amps! :lol: and i love the report of him playing. that's the best - we love it when our kitties act like they feel good.

I so admire you, Suzanne, for taking such good care of Cobb and your baby at the same time. There are lots of people who struggle to get a minimum of tests in, but you're stellar at it. it's pretty certain that we're not missing anything going on with him.

Higher numbers in the first part of today's cycle. Still the effects from yesterday's bounce? I know he hasn't cleared it yet.

Aww. Thank you! I love my fur baby just as much as my little bean. We've been through a lot together, and he's always been there for me. I need him to be better!

I quit my job when the baby was born because a 4am in time wasn't going to work for us. So I have the time to put into it -- I kinda look at it as my job right now! Get Cobb better and then I can go back to working outside the home. ;-)
 
Erg!! I know...the cat dictates what happens next. Are we still in the bounce? My patient pants are on, but they're too tight and irritating! :lol:
 
Cobb and his high numbers! A bounce can take 3 days to clear, so although Cobb hasn't said to me directly that he's still bouncing, I think he is, I'm REALLY hoping that he's going to clear this and we're going to see another yellow number in there. The 3 days isn't up til the middle of the night tomorrow night, so until then i'm going to keep calling it a bounce.

His body had gotten so used to these numbers, it's going to have to relearn what "normal" is.

So, I do have a question. Since I'll be out of town this weekend, I don't want my husband to have to do everything I've been doing. Would it be okay to keep Cobb at 4units for a few extra cycles? Give him plenty of time to clear this and not have to worry about increasing until I get back? Would there be any harm in that?
 
are ya taking the baby with you (is his name jordan? I don't want to say the wrong name!) or is your husband doing it all? :shock:

not that YOU don't already do it all, but ya know what i mean! ;-)

when are you leaving? i'm thinking you said Friday and that your husband would test some, is that right?
 
Matty (aka baby bean) is coming with me. I'm leaving on Thursday mid-morning and coming back Saturday evening. So I will be gone for 4 shots. Hubby doesn't work Friday or Saturday so he'll be around. But since he works early morning hours, he wants to get some sleep (especially since the baby won't be here!). If we decide an increase is needed, he is more than able to do it. Just wanted to get your thoughts. He probably won't want to test every 2-3 hours like I'm doing right now...just because he hasn't gotten it down to one prick to get the blood out just yet (it really is a learned skill!).
 
One other question...if this is a bounce, when he clears it -- will the numbers slide down? Or will it be a drop and then steady from there? What does post-bounce look like?
 
who knows? cats aren't consistent about it. but i would guess in his case that it might be just like when you caught the 235 the other night. a touchdown and another bounce starting from it.

but really, it's hard to predict almost everything with FD. so much of it is one day at a time, one cycle at a time even. that's one reason why so many of us are here every day, to help with those "well what now?" decisions.

let's look at Cobb Wednesday evening and see what he looks like at that point. The minimum your DH would need to get is a preshot test and one test around the middle of the cycle, say at +4-5 or so. at bedtime he could just check before he goes to sleep, or +4/5 whichever works for him.
 
Yep. He's on board for the tests.

I'm so glad I found this site though. I was about to give up two weeks ago! You all really are a godsend!
 
that's how i felt when i found it too! i think we all do. nothing like having a free experienced consultant 365/24/7!
