Oliver has been HI on the monitor 2 times in the last few days. ???
I raised his insulin back to 2.0 units from 1.75 ( which he earned a decrease before when went below 50 )
I hate that too because he really gets sleepy and just dopey looking. ;(
Have another 1 1/2 hours before he eats and gets more insulin.
Any ideas on what might be going on with him?
I have been playing phone tag with the vet so hope to hear from him soon before close this evening.

Looks to me like he's bouncing off the 177..Also, if at +3 yesterday he was "above 600" (or HI) and at +4 he was at 335, that's a HUGE drop in an hour. Bouncing doesn't only happen when they get a low number..it also happens when they drop quickly.

If he was HI again at +10 today, and at 317 at PMPS, that's another huge drop so I wouldn't be surprised if you get some more high numbers tonight

When did he get into the other cat's dry? It can take awhile to get that out of their system too..and you're 100% sure he's not getting into any other contraband?

For now, I think you're just going to have to stay the course and wait out the bouncing. We all understand it's really frustrating, but there's not a lot we can do about it. They bounce when they bounce

Did hear from the Vet and he says to do the same. Stay with the 2 units and ride it out through the weekend and get with him Mon.
I am not positive he got into it and its out of the equation now all together.
There is nothing else, but If the dog doesnt eat his food right away I have caught him eating a bit of that. OOPS darn animals. LOL

I agree. It does look like this is a bounce. It can take roughly 72 hours for some bounces to clear.
