J.D. doesn't want his 1st Breffis this morning. I warmed up 1/3 jar of baby food beef & broth and he licked up half of it.
I will try to get him to eat the rest and then give him his ABs and then btb.

J.D. licked and licked and licked at the little bit of baby food and finally it was consumed. I gave him his ABs and got an hour of btb in which I dreamt of Ginger :) J.D. did not come btb with me. When I got up at +2.5, J.D. was up and checking out the old food bowls from last night. I tested him, and he ate some FF, then he climbed up his cat tree for a treat, and then he ate some more food. He gave himself a face bath and is now laying on the couch.
He is not used to my regular schedule being back and so probably has no idea he's going to work with me today.

Good Morning, Dyana,

I'm glad that J.D. decided to eat. I guess he just wasn't ready earlier (we go through this a lot with Rusty, who grazes and who prefers to eat on his ever-evolving "schedule").

Do you have a lot of snow there? If so, get to and from work safely today.

I think J.D. didn't want to eat because he was in the blue numbers, and he doesn't normally eat much when he's in the blue numbers for some reason.

We have about 3 inches of hard snow left and lots of ice. I was just talking to my neighbor who is sprinkling salt on the front steps and thanked him. Those steps are dangerous with ice as they slop downwards, and carrying J.D. in his carrier in one hand and all his travel stuff in the other hand is hard enough, without ice, and I've had a back ache for almost 2 days now, so that doesn't help in the least.

I might call work and see if they want me to come in early. But hey, they didn't call me, so maybe I won't ;-)

I'm glad J.D. got some of his appy back. I guess he will have a surprise trip today, now that he's all settled on the couch ;-) Sorry you have to work, I hope you have a safe trip there and back!

J.D. is at work. There were inches of ice on my car, and the roads were a mess, so we left early. He ate at +4 and some more at +5.25 when we arrived at work.
I am waiting for a poo. He did not poo yesterday.
Should I call the vet tomorrow, and ask her if we should stop the Flagyl because of this?

I'm glad J.D. is eating for you today. I hope he gives you some poo soon. Be careful driving home with the messy roads.

Dyana, I am glad that J.D. got his appetite back. Cats seem to be hungry is different BG ranges. My cat is hungriest in pinks and greens it seems.

Tough driving to work in bad weather. Hope the day went by fast. I don't know much about flaygl.

Flagyl is Metronidazole. It is used to treat a variety of things including Giardia. We use it for treating diarrhea here and it can cause constipation. I don't know to what extent, though. If you are giving for diarrhea, I wouldn't give any kind of stool loosening agent, though. Maybe something to talk to the vet about.

Still no poo, and he would not eat at work past +5.25. At PMPS +2.5 when we returned home from work, he ate a bunch of food and so I gave him his ABs. I hope he poos soon. Right now, he is on his cat tree, hoping for some treats.
