12/30 Tommy AMPS 338 .5 R, +2 382, 375 @ +8.75 .5R

Some good news out of yesterday, I was able to get a urine sample from Tommy and could see no visible blood in it... Yeah! Now I know it will probably come back but for the moment I was so happy for him. Also tested negative for Ketones so yeah again.
This morning numbers not so hot but Tommy could care a less, tummy full and resting comfortably on his blanky.
I Spent most of the day yesterday watching the last of regular season football games. (Yes, I'm a football nut), and catering to my pup. She wants nothing more than to just get up and go go go, so it's quite a struggle right now to try and keep her calm and relaxed so she can heal.
It's bitterly cold here this morning but the sun is shining and feels lovely coming in through the windows.
Thank you to those who came by for a visit yesterday and I'll keep trying to get better and posting the nighttime numbers and visiting more.

Short lived on the urine , I was able to get a sample again this afternoon and the blood is back in there :cry:

Got your pm about the R. I don't think you are overusing it. It looks like the L at 11u is getting Tommy down to the low 100's, although that's been with the help of R, so i think you could probably increase the Lantus if you want. I might go up .5u tonight, if i were you. He's just looking really bouncy right now - he did hit the blue numbers again last night, so today's highs are probably from that, but usually increasing the L is the way to reduce the bouncing.

In general, I think the basal insulin (Lantus) needs to get you to the nadirs you want, for the most part, then the R is just knocking off the highs of bouncing. Even though it looks like the R didn't do anything this morning, it probably did keep him from going even higher than he went.

So to restate - I think your use of R is appropriate, but I think if you increased the L you might be able to reduce the bouncing and need for more R.

Does that make sense?

So happy to read that you don't see any blood in Tommy's urine!! Yay!!! Still think about the Adequan, though, since it will help his arthritis and quite possibly eliminate the recurring cystitis.

I'm a football nut, too, though sometimes I'm embarrassed to admit Dallas is my team. I've never seen any other team win or lose a game by just a point or two as often as them. And last night's game just about killed me. I can't wait for the Super Bowl because it's my excuse to drink beer and eat 7-layer dip!!!

Unfortunately Patty, blood is back in the urine, thank you for stopping by to visit. I would love to try Adequan it's just at this time, money does not permit that :sad: Two back surgeries for Ryleigh in 2 months has taken it's toll on the resources and I'm already trying to figure out how I can keep getting Tommy Bupe for his pains. That stuff is expensive. Hopefully when we get some VSS bills pd down I can do that for him..
I am surprised you let it be known you are a Cowboys fan, lol, but wasn't that ending yesterday kind of what there season has been about. At least they can't blame Romo for the INT this time. Who needs an excuse for 7-layer dip, that is a nasty good food. Give some smooches to Champ ok!

I'm glad Ryleigh is better and Tommy is comfy in his blankie. I hope the dose increase will bring the overall curve down and the R will help with the bounces.
