Thanks for the visits yesterday, Julie, Jane, and Rachel.
This morning's shot didn't go very well because right as I was inserting the syringe, Ebby lunged forward for a treat and I think the needle hit her muscle pretty hard (hurt her some.) I pulled the syringe out, but most of the insulin was gone, so I wasn't sure if I gave a fur shot or shot muscle. Numbers are coming down though, so must not have been a fur shot.
Last night after I saw the +2 test was pretty stable, I was going to give myself and Ebby a break from the late night testing, so did not set an alarm. Yes, the alarm never went off, but at +4 Ebby started kicking the bedroom door so it would bang against the door stop. (She has learned this is the best way to get me up.) So, I got up and gave her a test thinking maybe she was trying to tell me something. It was a very stable 143. So went back to bed and at +6 Ebby came into the bedroom and started meowing very loud. It was a very deep meow that sounding like "Hey, you're forgetting about me." So, got up again and gave another test, some treats, and some food. It was not the nice restful sleep I had hoped for.

Julie, I'll keep monitoring. I'll get a Lantus +3(R+5) and then I might take an hour nap, and wake up to get a Lantus +5(Unless numbers dictate a +4 test too.) She did have a pretty big drop from +1 to +2, but not all too different than her normal Lantus cycle so hopefully it will slow down a little from here on. Thanks again for looking after us. :YMHUG:
