Good Morning LL! Crazy morning here at work so I am just now able to post.

Julie-In regards to last night's question about her weight, I will have to check on her exact weight at dx and the follow up visit. But she has lost weight since then for sure. She was never really overweight to begin with. 12 oz of food is a lot but she would probably eat as much as I would give her.
I probably will wait a bit on getting the tests done a bit longer and can save out the amount needed over the next few weeks.

Elizabeth, did you by any chance retest when you got the 524? It's been a very long time since she's had a black number (11/25) so I have to wonder if you might have had a bad strip.

It's possible it's a bounce off the fast drop this morning (152 points in 2 hours) but she hasn't been bouncing that high for quite some time

Hope your next test is better, and if it's quite a bit better, I think I'd believe your PMPS was a wonky strip

Hey Chris, hope your having a nice evening. Actually the first PMPS number I got was 433 and that surprised me but it was one of those readings where even though the meter takes it the entire line is not filled with blood (hope that makes sense) so I retested and got the 524. I wanted a third, obviously, but she was not having it. Started growling because she was ready to eat dinner. So I went with that reading because it was an excellent blood drop. On the plus one i wanted to get a second but again she was getting ill about it.
And that's a big drop

It was probably somewhere in between. Hopefully closer to the 433 since then your +1 wouldn't be such a huge drop.

Hopefully, the +2 or +3 will end the debate once and for all

thanks for the answer about her weight. you don't want her to lose weight, especially if she's not hefty! so i think i'd give her as much food as is needed to hold her weight stable. as she gets more regulated she'll absorb the nutrients from what she's eating and her appetite should settle down.
