Our hearts go out to Angela this morning. Fly free, sweet Daisy.
Good Morning, Everyone,
We had a late night because we and our friends sat around and talked after watching "SOS Iceberg" (an amazing 1932 film about a scientific expedition; it took 5 months to shoot and the cast and crew spent all those months camped out on the ice in Greenland. They couldn't count on being able to film "local" polar bears, so had to bring 3 with them from a zoo! The zoo bears enjoyed their freedom and would disappear for days at a time, but always came back for food!!) Rusty was a perfect host, as always. He slept through most the action: icebergs collapsing; people having to swim in the icy water from ice flow to ice flow; a wonderful husky dog, who received his own credits; a plane crash; eskimo rescuers in kayaks. And the amazing thing was that all of it was shot on location in real time with no studio "stunts". Even Leni Riefenstahl, playing the pilot who crashed her plane trying to land next to the iceberg, had to swim for her life in the icy water. The photography was stunning.
Well, sorry for the long OT, but it's Friday! TGIF. Rusty enjoyed some Canidae Pure Elements last night. The food looked very different from the other can that I had, and I must say that it did not look or smell appetizing, but Rusty preferred it to his favorite FF T&G. This morning the Canidae food in his bowl was completely gone, whereas the FF T&G was only partially consumed! It will be interesting to see if he still likes it next week, when my order is scheduled to arrive. In any event, since it seems to be 9% carbs, he will only get small amounts alongside his usual fare: Wellness, FF T&G, Paw Lickin' Chicken (the latter served primarily as a bedtime treat).
The deep freeze continues: -14 F. this morning. Tomorrow it will be above zero, but then we will be right back in the real cold.
Wishing you all a good day,
Ella & Rusty
Yo Kitties, The BLUE TEAM is gonna put that stone right "on the button" in curling practice today. Any challengers?
