Yesterday's condo w/vet report(so far)

Well China threw me another curveball this morning with the 128 AMPS, so staying with the 1.5 for now. She ate better this morning, but seems to be spending more time behind the couch than on it with me. I've been surprisingly successful getting her pill into her. I'm sure once she really figures out the "routine", she'll start to put up more of a fight..right now, she hasn't been pilled since she was a kitten, so the whole thing comes as a surprise to her and she's not ready for it..that, I'm sure, will change.

Got to get out to the store to stock up before this crazy storm hits. We've been upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning, but they still don't really know what or how much we'll get. Depending on the final tract of the storm, it could be more ice, more sleet or more snow...or any combination of the 3. Freezing drizzle/rain supposed to start this afternoon, and then it could be up to several inches of ice or sleet, or up to a foot of snow...or any combination of the 3 ohmygod_smile

Hope everyone is safe and warm, and if you're also in the path of this storm, get out and stock up now while you can!!

In a way, I'm glad we didn't hear about my uncle's funeral until it was too late to make it up there. Otherwise we would have had to either try to go and most likely get stuck 250 miles away from home, or back out at the last minute. Some things happen for a reason I suppose.

Good Morning, Chris! It sounds like crazy weather your way, we're just super cold. I hope you have a safe trip out and back for supplies. It's good you didn't try to travel far in this, even though I'm sure you are sad to miss the funeral. I'm sending many comfort hugs your way :YMHUG: .

It's good to see China in some lower blues today , I hope she will turn around again and come hang with Chyna in the lagoon?

Nice day for China - my fav color: Blue! I loved the comment about how pilling her now is going OK, as she hasn't quite figured it all out yet. that was so Mannie. Towards the end I had alot of meds I needed to get into him, came up with several plans to do just that. All worked great, but one by one he figured them out, and either cheeked the pill, or avoided the doctored food, or downright refused the meds treats.... He was so good at it! So China... cut your bean some slack, take your meds, and don't let on that you are onto her. ;-)

Nice blues for China this morning. I hope you can keep getting her pill down her without too much trouble. I hope the storm doesn't hit your area too bad. That storm is headed our way next. It's looking to make a messy Sunday evening into Monday morning. We don't know if we'll get rain, freezing rain, or snow or all three.

Thanks Rachel!! I'm hoping the "surprise" won't wear off for at least 10 days...that's how long we're trying this for!

Michelle...that's what I'm worried about! When China figures out what's really going on, there's going to be hell to pay. She's the absolute worst cat I've ever seen to pill, and most of her life, if she had anything that required medication, it had to be something injectable or it wasn't getting in! I've worked for several vets in my younger days, and learned how to pill at cat and use a pill gun, and still couldn't get them down my own cat's throat. Talk about feeling like a total failure!

Carla, yeah, they keep changing the forecast, so we don't really know what to expect, other than it's going to be bad. Either lots of ice or lots of snow..or some of both depending on where it decides to go. Unfortunately, the last forecast I looked at said the worst was "along and north of a line from Warsaw to Osage Beach"...Guess where I live???
The worst thing about this whole storm is that I have that knee surgery scheduled for Thursday. While I'm sure we'll be able to get there for that, I also have to have my pain pump refilled every 3 weeks (which would be Thursday too) but since I knew I was having the surgery, I made the appointment for Tuesday. That way I wouldn't have to worry about getting all the way up there (it's about a 3 hour drive one way) for 3 weeks after the surgery. If I can't get the pump refilled before Thursday, I can't have the surgery, and will have to wait another 3 weeks.

I think it's time to go ahead and increase to 1.75

She's only had 1 green in 10 cycles now and that was only a 93

If she's not too low to shoot in the morning, I'm going to take her up :cry:
