Re: 3/8 Rocky AMPS 347
what a very dramatic 520 last night! he's letting us know his liver is in super working condition!
I do know what the problems are that you face in getting him more exercise - i totally get it - you have your hands full!! My only point was that there are several things that can make a difference in BGs and ticking off all of them before trying R is (in my opinion) the best way to go. Very glad you've divided up his meals. It might take a while before you see that making a difference - in fact, i'd think even a few weeks.
Saw your question yesterday about stool color - i have no idea but don't think i'd worry too much about it until/unless you're seeing some other issues.
So now Rocky's off into another bounce. Let's hope he clears it as quickly as he's been doing.
When I wanted to get punkin walking, I got a harness first and put it on him for short times in the house to let him get used to it. Then i added the leash and, still in the house, tried just following him around while i held it. Eventually we tried outside and I was quick to pick him up if he started pulling on it or freaking out, then trying again another day. It did take a while, but we were taking him and Anya to Colorado for him to get the acro treated and i wanted him used to it before then. He was pretty big and went crazy in a carrier trying to dig his way out, so the leash and harness really were important for us. When we did go for "walks" i just followed him and went where he went. got my face plastered in spider webs a couple of very unpleasant times  before i learned to sweep my arm in front of me when we went through shrubs. He had a couple of places he always liked to check out - the catnip plant always got extra attention, one neighbor's driveway was slightly higher than the rest of the neighborhood (we had to stop there and survey his kingdom - i took a book with me), he always sprayed two shrubs and he always wanted to slink under our fence to our next door neighbor's yard. that was the only thing i didn't let him do because i couldn't possibly fit.
If you have Rocky with his own harness and leash, and carry him outside to start the walk, he's not going to spread it to any of your other animals.
