Yesterday's results:

AMPS 329 +4=275 +6=237
PMPS 291 +3=150 +5.5=75 +7.5=82

Max was again trying to vomit before his morning routine. I'm going to give him pepcid starting tonight for a few nights at least to see if that stops. He's not bringing anything up so it might be stomach acid.

He had good numbers last night and this morning so I hope it continues but won't be surprised to see a bounce.

It's like he skipped his insulin today except he didn't!

if he's trying to vomit, do you think he could have a hairball? i remember you were giving him hairball meds regularly before. would he eat some butter? sometimes that or vaseline will slide things through.

Yes, I do think it's either a hairball or acid. I tend to think Hairball too. He does groom a lot. I brushed him but for all the fur you brush you loosen more. He won't eat butter. I've tried. I gave him a little squash and will try a little pumpkin next. The hairball remedy really helped. When he got one or two a day we didn't have the problem. Good memory Julie.

:lol: if only! sometimes i feel like i have a sieve instead of a memory, but i do remember that. funny what stays in and what falls out. would you like to know my phone number from when i was a child? that's here. :lol: in case i ever need it again, apparently!

another possibility is adding olive oil or coconut oil to his food. or, maybe go ahead and give him the hairball remedy you used before, but is it possible to give him more instead of every day? i don't remember if we noticed his BGs go down after you stopped giving it all the time. you could give it to him again and see if they go up . . . . .

i was gone yesterday and missed seeing your post - did your mom get to go home?

Hi Julie. I missed you as well. Green last night and yellow all day today. I gave him a hairball treat before I left today for the hospital at +6. Yep, still there. This morning it was gloom and doom but this afternoon better again and talking of home tomorrow. She hadn't yet attempted to walk though when I left to come home and take care of Max.

I guess Max has been understanding of my mom being in the hospital so he decides to go green at night. I thank him for that. Now if he will be steady and not bounce during the day I will be so appreciative. Do you ever get used to being awake and all alone in the middle of the night? At what number do most of you decide it is safe to sleep?
