I'm a little disappointed in this mornings BG level. I think I will take Julie's advice and try getting up at 3:00 AM and give a +9 snack.

With meter variance, that is still in the normal range.

This is the Automatic Feeder that I have. They also sell one with an ice pack.

Don't get too wrapped up in one number Dwight!

Our cats aren't really fond of doing things "by the book" and if we try to force them, they generally rip the book up and throw it at us :lol:

As long as he stays in mostly normal numbers, he's still on track! If you want to try the +9 snack too, it'll be interesting to see if it makes a difference

OMG. I just have to say 'hi' because my brother lives in Oxford, MI. I don't anyone else that lives there, except for you now! My brother and his wife are dentists.

We are originally Oregonians but I have lived in California since 2001 and my brother in Mississippi since, oh, I think it was 1979..

Thanks Dyana, I have not seen that one yet. I went to a Petco last weekend and they had a total of 0 feeders of this type. I'll order online.

Thanks Chris. I realize their levels can vary greatly but like I said above, I expect better....like the PM number. ;-)

Thanks Tina. I guess our town isn't so small after all. There is another forum that lives about 15 miles north of here also.

Hey Dwight! I'm glad Boots brought it down a bit this evening. I think you'll really like a timed feeder. We bought the PetSafe 5-meal feeder, and it's worked out well for us so far. I didn't see any feeders in my local stores, so I bought online, too. (Mine came from Amazon.)

you might ask suzanne/cobb which one she bought, because i think she didn't like it after she had it. it had preset times and it wasn't as flexible as she'd thought it would be.

i agree about the 127. don't sweat it. Overall, Boots is still doing fine. Different cats have different OTJ experiences.

Take a look at what we affectionately call "Scruffy's Ugly OTJ SS". Scroll down until you see April 2008 - that's when he went OTJ - look at the spreadsheet for April and May. The colors are different, but you can see by the numbers what was going on.
