J.D. is bouncing from drop he had after I gave him the small drop of R I gave him last night. I think I know how I can give less, maybe. I haven't tried it, yet. Right now, I push in the plunger all the way and hold it there while I insert the syringe into the pen, and then I release the plunger. I take the syringe out of the pen and press up on the plunger again to see how much comes out and it's usually one small drop. I test this 2 or 3 times each time, before I give him the R because some syringes are different (one time one syringe had no resistance and gave me no drop of insulin each time, I threw that syringe out and used another). I think after I see how big the drop is by testing the syringe a couple times, that when I am ready "to get the dose" I can just push out approximately half a drop..maybe.
Last night, I was testing J.D. and had the meter ready and a nice blood drop ready, and the power went out. I quietly screamed in the darkness "this is not a good time for this!" and they came back on.
J.D. had to go outside to his watering can at +11, and then came in the house and ate some food. I need to break the routine of eating some food at +11. He did eat some cat grass and I heard him throwing up but found nothing. He can't have stomach protectant (Pepcid?) because of the Baytril, so hopefully, his tummy feels okay.
He ate some of his 1st Breffis. Time to go for a walk, and we come back, he'll probably eat more.
I hope everyone has a good day.
