Yesterday's condo
Another pretty green surf for China today! This dose seems to agree with her...at least so far (anti-jinx)
Have to take DM down to her house to pick up more stuff this afternoon, so hope China will just continue surfing!
Had a scare with the civvie yesterday that went in for the lion cut. They gave her the same anesthetic they've used for years on her (Domitor), but this time the vet wasn't at all happy with her breathing, so they had to give the reversal. The groomer ended up doing most of the groom with her waking up, but overall, did a good job. She was such a mess! She's got baby fine hair which matts really badly so has to get shaved every spring. The weirdest thing is for 10 months of the year, she's very standoffish...doesn't really want anything to do with me or anyone else, but as soon as she's shaved, she becomes a velcro kitty and won't leave me alone! It's so weird that she has a total personality change when she's shaved! The vet thought it was interesting too..so much so that she added it to her chart info
The other bad news is that she needs a dental. Since they had to wake her so quickly, they didn't get a good look, but the vet said their was one tooth on the right that had a lot of tarter on it and the gum looked really red. She said that when it's only 1 tooth that looks that bad, it's probably because that tooth has a crack or break that's "catching" the tarter more than the other teeth.
Of course now with the problem with the domitor, that adds another risk in having a dental...but there's also no way I can afford another dental..at least not a GOOD one with x-rays....and it sounds like she really needs them to see what's going on under her gumline.
She sent her home on Clavamox, 2 times/day for 10 days so we'll see how that goes. Cleocatra has never been pilled, so this could be fun...especially if she's in pain from that tooth!
I really don't know what I'm going to do. I hate knowing one of my babies is in pain but there's just no way I can afford another dental. I had good friends help out with a fundraiser for China's..I don't feel right doing another one so soon. Makes me feel like I'm taking advantage of good friends
Anyway, it's absolutely beautiful outside, so I'm going to go out and enjoy it a little! Hope it's nice where you are and you're able to enjoy some springtime! Sending healing vines for those who need them!
Surf safely kitties!!
