Good morning,

Yesterday's condo

Yesterday
AMPS=187 (f0.75); +2=245; +8=248
PMPS=230 (1u); +2=275; +4=275; +6=277

Today
AMPS=193 (1u); +2=225; +3=263; +10.25=220
PMPS=227 (1u); +2=221

Lucy is feeling OK today.
She wasn't exactly going Woohoo food!, but she ate the 1st and 2nd breakfast by finger-feeding as usual.

I discovered that she does much better with size #4 gelcaps than size #3.
I'm getting better at filling tiny capsules with powder, using various tools not intended for filling gelcaps, but it takes a loooong time to fill 10 capsules.
My mission today is to see if I can find a capsule filling tray thingy for size #4 gelcaps.
I found it in size#3 for $30, but they don't make it in size #4. Too bad.....

I am hoping to see a nicer cycle today, but it may take longer too see an effect of last night's dosecrease.

Sending vines to all in need.

HI guys .. nice blue this morning! And while lucy wasn't going wahoo food, it's nice to hear she did eat her fuddies! Have a great day guys!

Re: 5/27 Lucy AMPS=193

Good morning Lucy and Mariko,

I'm happy to hear Lucy is feeling well this morning and I'm sending you lots of appie vines. I'm not familiar with these gel caps but I'm assuming they're for medication delivery. Have you checked online to see if they have the size tray you're looking for - I can well imagine how tedious it must be to fill these things. Have a great day in Vancouver! Anne

Re: 5/27 Lucy AMPS=193

Nice start for Lucy, and it's great the #4s are working better for her! I hope you can find a system to easily fill them. Sending along extra appy vines for the rest of the day!!

Re: 5/27 Lucy AMPS=193;+2=225

I'm glad Lucy ate for you, even if she wasn't excited about her food. I hope you can find a tray for the #4 gel caps.

Re: 5/27 Lucy PMPS=227

Lucy's just flat yellow, but she's feeling good this evening. :-D

Lucy is incredibly flat.
I wish she was flat in a better color.
I thought the meter was stuck, so I poked myself and got a 90, beautiful number if it were Lucy's.

Despite the flat yellow, Lucy's definitely feeling better tonight. :smile:

Hi Mariko.

I'm glad Lucy is feeling better tonight, despite the flat yellow. You know what we say - they don't know what their BG is!

I don't know how much you're prepared to spend, but I got a capsule filling machine at capsuline.com. They are not cheap, but they make it a lot easier. Here's a link to their site, on the page for a 15 capsule machine in size 4. I got the 180, but I always overdo things. 15 Capsule machine.

Before I got the machine, I improvised with tiny funnels and the cutting grid from my Vidalia Chop Wizard. I don't know where you'd find it in Canada, but I got mine at a Rite Aid Drug Store. I imagine places like WalMart and Target have them, or you can get them online. Cheaper than the capsule filling machine, and other uses, too!

I know Lucy has IBD and you treat it with pred. Did your vet have you try a unique protein diet? I don't recall that you're feeding one now, are you? Sasha may have IBD, and I'm trying to find out what I can do to help her.

Sending good appy and tummy vines for Lucy.
