Good Morning LL ~O) ~O) ~O) ,

Shaping up to be another superb day - great patio weather as the bugs aren't in full force yet.

Everything is ok with Pixie - I'm still trying to figure out what Pixie needs for meds. Yesterday, I tried Famotidine in early part of cycle 1 which made little to no difference. In the later part of the first cycle, I decided to try Pixie's pain meds and that did make a difference. Pixie started to eat more almost immediately and was up and about from that point on, spending most of last evening outside with us - although, Pixie's improvement was never as pronounced as the day before. Perhaps he does need the entire cocktail with subQ fluids. Hopefully, the next few days should provide answers.

Wishing everyone a lovely Sunday and healing vines to all who need them, Anne!

Re: 6/1 Pixie 0.1 AMPS=83

Good morning Anne!

Good to hear that Pixie is feeling okay and it's wonderful to see that he's enjoying being in the greens .

The weather here is also sunny, but a bit too windy for my taste. I better enjoy the sun while it lasts. Oh boy I miss my country...

Have a great Sunday too!

Re: 6/1 Pixie 0.1 AMPS=83

Pixie's numbers are SO awesome!!!

I so hear ya on trying to figure out what meds in what combination works. This is new territory for me, as Trix just developed p-titis for the first time 5.5 weeks ago, but I am learning quickly that certain things definitely make a difference. For her, she seems to need the max dose of Pepcid -5mg BID, at least for right now. And fluids. Any time we've strayed from fluids - gone to every other day - she just doesn't seem as perky. It's a challenge trying to figure this stuff out for such a sweet little critter that can't talk. I hope you get Pixie's magic combo figured out quickly. It sure sounds like the bupe is one key element for him!

Have a great day, Anne!

Re: 6/1 Pixie 0.1 AMPS=83

It sounds like you're making progress in figuring out what meds Pixie needs and when he needs them. Just make sure you keep good notes. I've thought for sure I'd remember something and not written it down, and then when I needed to know I couldn't remember. I'm glad Pixie felt good enough to spend time outside with you yesterday.

Re: 6/1 Pixie 0.1 AMPS=83, +5.5=83

Carla's so right - you think you'll remember, but it can be hard. Many people add a column on their spreadsheet just for meds to keep track of it all.

5 shots of the 0.1u and all green. Mr. Greenie continues to be very happy with Pixie!

Re: 6/1 Pixie 0.1 AMPS=83, +5.5=83; +7.5=101

Thank you to all who have visited Pixie's condo this weekend. Some of you may be surprised by Pixie's blue at +7.5 but there is a good explanation. I bought some Wellness - grain free - chicken and gave it to Pixie starting at about +5.5 until +7 because I am experimenting with higher calorie foods in hopes of helping him gain weight. When I read the label, it said carrots, cranberries and sweet potatoes which caused me to think twice about it but I decided to try it anyway. Thus the 101 BG - now perhaps I could feed this at the beginning of a cycle when Pixie's insulin levels are strongest and use the Merrick later in the cycle.

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday! Anne
