Good morning! I am not ruling out a fur shot last night. It is possible and makes sense seeing her #s last night. I sometimes smell insulin on her fur, but fur not wet, so I assume it is just excess that I pushed out before injecting. I am really hoping she will slide down today, and her pee clumps are ginormous lately. Otherwise she has no adverse signs, and seems fine. Im off to work and mom will call with #s later. Morning, guys.

I'm not sure if you do this already or not, however, you may want to try adding a few extra drops (say about 5 or 6 or more) of water and mix it into the food. It'll help to keep Chi Chi hydrated more, and probably pee more, too. Have you had a chance on getting a ketone test lately..? Have a good day!

Just got home and have checked her #s. She had blue at +4 and mom didn't test again til +7.5, so she was probably lower at +6 I would think. She gets fed at +5. Since I think she got a fur shot last night, and the #s seem to agree, Im hoping she will come down some more tonight. I will test as often as needed, starting at pmps +2 and go from there. Angela, yes we always add a tablespoon or so of water to her food every meal, and also the pee piles in the lb were a bit smaller today! The higher her #s are, the bigger the piles.

just checking in on you guys. if you feel confident there was likely a furshot last night, then start your cycle count over this morning. fingers crossed she comes down tonight!
