4/14 Jen's Oreo AMPS~105, PMPS~97, +3~96

Not bad after what I'm almost positive was rebound last night. Totally my fault, she didn't eat all of her breffis, so I picked it up and put it in the fridge so Tommy wouldn't eat it all. But I forgot to take it back out before I left.

Previous Condo

WCR: It was the "no mom, no ear pokes this morning" routine...around the coffee table, around the chair, under the coat rack in the mud room, back out around the coffee table, etc :lol:

I'm a little disappointed today - I know I shouldn't put non-fd kitteh stuff in my condo, but have to vent a bit. We were going to take a road trip to Phoenix to visit DMIL and take Oreo with us - after she said it wouldn't be a problem to bring her. Now today, she has decided we can't bring her. I don't want to board her. There is a hotel down near her where we can have her, but she can't be left in the room alone when we aren't there. So that probably means boarding there...which of course I would have to figure out how to do since she does not have her current vaccinations due to the FD... I was really looking forward to a bit of a vacation and having her with us (so then I wouldn't have to worry about her). So now not sure if we will try to figure out a way to go with Oreo anyway or do something else - which of course will upset DMIL to no end as she hasn't seen either one of us for over a year. :roll: It's a bit of a no win...

re: DMIL- soooooo disappointing! I totally sympathize with you :sad: Did you look for other pet-friendly hotels that will allow Oreo to stay alone? Or, maybe get a cheap motel, sneak her in and leave the 'do not disturb" sign on the doorknob. I hope you can work something out, I'd hate to think of a boarded up Oreo.

And why cant Oreo sleep with you at a hotel, and stay in a portable cage or condo at you DMIL's??
She wouldnt be so Dear To me!! Sorry, I hate when peeps go back on their word...Visting is always good, leaving kitty strange places, not so great--How bout a vet tech near you to stay with Oreo in your house??
Or just send DH..I know how you feel, we havent been away except one nite in 2 yrs... :cry:

Jackie and Roni, there is a pet friendly hotel fairly close, but right on their site it says the pets cannot be left alone in the room. I'm sure it's because of dogs that get seperation anxiety and tear up the room. DH may go another time by himself and we may just go do our own vacation with Oreo. In DMIL's defense, she has always said she is allergic to cats, but recently pet a cat that hangs around and had no ill effects. So we can't take her over there as she is concerned about her health. But yeah, to say ok then change your mind does suck.

Jen , Call the motel and ask them if Oreo stay. I have a sign like that but it is just because I have had dogs left alone that barked all day. I bet they say it's ok. Work something out for time for the housekeepers to come in while you are there , they won't want to come in and risk Oreo getting out.
I'll be interested to find out what happens. I think this is Oreo related so a ok subject here.
