Lucy had an all blue day yesterday!
I would have been a much happier bean with no cloudy spot in my heart if her appy was better.

Her appy isn't horrible.
Most times, she eats the 1st meal well, 2nd so-so, and doesn't want the 3rd.
Her mood is good usually and this morning too.
She is purry, and meows at me for attention every now and then.
I don't like how she walks around really slowly, but she's an old lady, - almost 17 yrs old.

I am hoping that this is because her body is getting used to the blue range, and nothing else wrong with her that I don't know of.
I've had a small capsule of cerenia & cypro combo ready since yesterday morning, thinking if she doesn't eat, I'll give it.
But then she eats at first pretty good.
By the time her appetite is gone, she has eaten a decent amount, so I think OK if her appetite seems weak by the next meal time, I'll give it.
Then she seems willing to eat and actually eats well at first.
So.... I haven't been able to decide if she needs meds or what meds she needs.
It seems there is a small window of maybe a couple of hours max after eating where she doesn't feel so well.
I don't know what this means.

I hope everyone's having a nice weekend.

Hi Mariko.

I have no insight to share about Lucy's appy, but I'm glad that she is eating a decent amount. It sounds like it might be a digestive issue (she has IBD, so not surprising) - once the food gets moving through her system, she feels a little unwell and doesn't want to eat more. I don't know what one does for that, but I hope you get it figured out. The fact that she is perky and social is very good. Moving slowly is part of aging, as I am finding out with both my kitties and myself! :? It's hard to watch it in someone you love, but I'll bet it bothers you more than it does her.

I hope you have a good Caturday! Keep up the lovely blue numbers, Lucy!

Hi Mariko,
As long as Lucy is eating, even though not as much food as you would like, I wouldn't worry too much. 17 years is old, and how many old people do you know who eat as much now as when they were younger and more active? Lucy is happy. That's the most important thing.

Enjoy the weekend,

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty

How nice to see all that blue. Has Lucy always eaten the same amount no matter what her numbers are? I'm just wondering because Furball doesn't eat as much food when she's blue.

Re: 6/7 Lucy AMPS=160;+2=157;+4=167;+7=160

That's true about considering the aging process. I guess Lucy is getting older and she moves a little slower and may want to eat less. Continuing to send prayers to your Lucy. You are doing a great job with your Lucy.

Re: 6/7 Lucy PMPS=184

Thank you for visiting, Tricia, Ella, Carla and Catherine!

Ella - That would be none. :-D
Thank you. I feel less stressed about getting her to eat EVERYTHING.

Carla - I didn't think her ever changed in sync with her numbers.... Her thirst, yes. she drinks more when she's in yellow.

Still blue!
It's funny I used to complain when she was in higher blue and didn't go green.

Re: 6/7 Lucy PMPS=184

Mariko, Max is almost 16 3/4 and is slower and sleeps way too much. I do think it is the aging process. Lucy is looking better. Maybe blue will turn to green more slowly and then not bounce. That is what I keep hoping for as well.
