yesterday's condo
Nova is.. as far as I know.. same ol same ol.. being her LOVELY flatcat green self.. prob going to see some blue for the next few days.. we've been doing short cycles for 3 days to move her shot.. and now I'll do slightly longer cycles to get her shot time back to some sane hour.. how much can I move it? I know it's not "dangerous" to move it later..but I don't want to mess her up too bad either..
Jerry is home and fine now.. we made it through 4 hours of fun filled adventures at the vet.. we had some rough spots in there.. but we didn't actually have to give oxygen once!!! He was very angry, scared and upset.. but he's a real trooper.. his heart isn't too bad (considering).. his ultrasound results are worse than the last one 6 months ago.. but not too much and they still don't classify him as being IN heart failure.. just dancing beside the line
.
Xrays were alright.. lungs don't look fantastic.. but look ok.. ekg was great.. arrythmia hasn't returned and he was only 185bpm!!! craziness! did a geriatric blood panel.. will be a few days for the results..
So we upped his asthma medication.. hopefully more of that helps him out.. if it doesn't work, then we'll explore some even more dangerous for a heart disease cat, asthma medications.. yeehaw
.
The best part was the bill.. it was juuuuust under 4 figures.. the price of his primary heart medication went up some (made at a human pharmacy).. his medications alone are $7-$8 a day now.. it's getting kind of insane..FD is SO CHEAP
.
Ah well.. worth every penny.
