Yesterday's Condo

Back to my old bad habits - late condos. Another hectic day. I have no idea why I let my hair stylist schedule me at 10 am - She's over an hour away, and I had to medicate & feed the kitties, eat breakfast, get ready, scoop the boxes, and test Cinco before I could leave. Somehow I managed to only be 5 minutes late. I ran a bunch of errands and got back in the late afternoon to find that someone had puked over the edge and in front of the litter box in the bar area. That box is mostly used by Cinco and Harvey, and I don't know which of them it was. I gave Harvey some pepcid this morning, not because he seemed unwell but I'm trying to get him on a regular dose of it. He ate his breakfast without hesitation. Cinco also ate well. I fed him almost another full meal at +2 because I was concerned about that 148 point drop. Maybe I overfed him. He seemed fine when I left and when I got home and ate his dinner with the usual plate chasing. Harvey only ate about half his dinner, but that isn't unusual - he'll come back and clean it up after a while. Neither has been constipated, so I don't think it was a repeat of the time Cinco tried so hard to go that he threw up, but it's location is suspicious. I just don't know, so I guess I'll just watch to see who seems to be feeling off. If only they could talk!

It appears that the insulin was not the problem. Cinco's numbers are about the same. My trigger finger is itching, but I pulled up my patience pants because it just doesn't make sense to me to increase him now if we're going to shoot low on Saturday, since we'll be gone all day, and might be doing the 18 hour shot plan. At least he's staying mostly in low to mid yellows and high blues. Did not like the AMPS today, and the PMPS wasn't much better. I'll be interested to see where he goes tonight. I'm hoping for more blue.

The UCD Surgery department called this morning. Sasha has an appointment on Monday at 11:30, when we'll meet with the clinicians and discuss her situation and the plan. They will keep her overnight and do the CT scan and surgery Tuesday morning. They will also keep her Tuesday night for observation, and if all goes well, she can come home Wednesday. I must say, they are very thorough (they ought to be, for what it costs!!). I feel pretty good about the care she is receiving there. No call from the Oncologist today. I suspect she's still having trouble reaching the pathologist.

I was gone most of the day, but I have not heard Sasha sneeze. I gave her a dose of Atarax this morning, but none since. It is VERY windy here - practically gale force winds. I'm sneezing.

My DH has a tri-tip on the grill, and the smell is driving me crazy. I need to go get the potatoes peeled and cut up and in the oven.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: Helle is still in my thoughts and prayers.
