I didn't get any answers to my questions last night, so I just went ahead and gave him some more cyanocobalamin. He is supposed to stop the Orbax tomorrow, so I can call his vet tomorrow, and if he still has diarrhea and I ask about the Flagyl.

He has been eating bits of LC this morning. I have not given him any MC yet. Hopefully, he'll keep eating through out the day.

We have a very long day of work ahead of us, so I guess I should start getting ready for that.

Please continue sending any spare vines you have to J.D. He still needs some.
I gave him R to bring his HI down, and he dive bombed. He ate some FF LC today, but only a little bit here and there. I just gave him some MC and he ate a bunch of that.

He's still sometimes wobbily and I don't know if that's the "dizziness" from the extra cypro he's getting, or from the bupe which will need to be cut to twice a day starting tomorrow.

We're off to tbp land.

Of course we are sending prayers. As for the flagyl, if the diarrhea is antibiotic induced, I wouldn't give flagyl. It should clear up with the end of the antibiotics. Stick with the probiotics. Of course check with your vet.

It's just that he still seems lazy, and sometimes he walks around and acts fine. Sometimes he has a very hard time getting up (twisting his back the right way to get up onto four feet) and sometimes he can get up no problem.
He has been slightly nibbling on the LC with EVO kibble and a few cat treats, and mostly eating a couple bites of MC at each test.

Right now, he's sleeping at my feet.

I am hoping he eats just fine on his own tomorrow when I am gone all day. :-|

I am sorry to see that J.D. is still not feeling to well. I will continue to send out eating feel better vines to him. I don't know much about his medications and their side effects, so I am sorry that I can't help you out there. I just hope they help him feel better.

Hope your day at tbp didn't go to bad and that you guys get home soon and can relax.

Now...you mentioned light colored poo. Is that supposed to be a sign of anything? Spot has soft, formed poo, thanks to the miralax, but it too is light in color, kind of grayish I would say. I never thought of it as unusual, but maybe?

Hi Deb. I know a little about your question. Gray poo can mean a problem with absorption of the nutrients. Does Spot have pancreatitis? However, it also can change color with the fed eaten. Is it always gray? If so I would ask your vet about it. He/she can run a blood panel to check. Often the first remedy is B12 injections which you can do at home. Sometimes enzymes are given. He Spot really underweight yet eating a lot? Just a few things to watch for and tell your vet.

J.D., I like your numbers this afternoon, but I'm not crazy about how you got there! You need to do a slow slide, sweetie, not a nose dive! :shock: :o Level off and surf awhile, okay? You look great in blue!

Sending JD more eating and healing vines. I'm sorry he's off again/on again.

I don't know if you can give orbax and flagyl. That would be a question for the vet. Typically if my cats have gotten diarrhea from an a/b, I give them probiotics and some slippery elm syrup. I also have an herb called Agastache that works really well. I save the flagyl for non-ab related GI upsets (which are rare but have occurred).

I wouldn't have known what to tell you about the B-12 shot. I used to give them to Teddi but it was once a week for a month and then once a month.
 
J.D ate pretty good today for being at work. A lot of times he doesn't eat much at work, but we were there 12 hours.
I changed his cyproheptadine dose to 1/4 tablet tonight, I may change it back to 1/2 tomorrow. I don't know.
Tomorrow, I guess I'll just leave out LC and MC and hope he eats.
I am going to try to go with a dose of bupe right after AMPS and right after PMPS and see how that goes.

One of his back legs seems weak sometimes, mainly after he just gets up, but not all the time. I think that's why he's extra wobbily (but that could be the meds too) and sometimes does a dance to get poo out and sometimes he gets stuck when he's laying down and sometimes does not, like it depends upon which side he's laying on.

He was just laying in his hard plastic carrier for half the way home, so I know he still doesn't feel all better, yet. He did stand up half way home, which is how he usually travels. Again, I think the one leg makes him not balance as well. I have 23 traffic lights between work and home, and that's lots of braking and excelerating.

At work, I was wondering about acupuncture. I know this one vet that J.D. has seen before that just recently learned how or got her license or whatever. I did a search and there is another vet in the county that also does it. I might inquire some more about it, tomorrow.

Right now, I am so tired, and hope to sleep soon. I did drink coffee until 7:00pm, and that is a bad thing for me.
We got home at 10:00pm, and I put all J.D.'s stuff away and then called my Dad.
