6/14's Condo

This morning's number is a guess, I took a picture with my phone but I think I closed the camera before it actually saved the photo! I do remember it being 120 something! He is doing well on the reducie!!! So far, so good! which makes me glad! Thank you all for your help! We wouldn't have earned this reduction if it wasn't for you all. So thank you a million times!

i just want to super-extra-really-strongly encourage you to get a night cycle test. What it looks like to me is that Tyler's pancreas may be healing. He's earning reductions and after the reduction, he's staying in good numbers, and earning more reductions. That's the path to OTJ. You're seeing a lot of numbers in the normal range. i suspect the 158 yesterday mid-day was a bounce from something low the night before. I was hoping Tyler would wait for this phase until you were done with work, but it looks like he's doing it his way, as cats so often do. Some cats don't go all green while they're getting dose reductions, so you may still see higher numbers with low nadirs - that's what he's beeen doing so far.

It's so easy to get complacent when their numbers seem flat, but i think Tyler's trying to be earning reductions. This is a phase where you have absolutely got to catch his night-cycle nadirs so he gets his reductions as needed. Even on a small dose a cat can have a hypo - we want to keep Tyler safe.

I'm cheering you guys on - his spreadsheet looks fantastic, and i don't mean to harp on you, (although i AM a mom and pretty skilled at it!!! ;-) :lol: ), but i don't want you to have a hypo crisis with Tyler. :YMHUG:

by the way, i read the "dosecrease" word discussion in your condo 6/14 - personally, i think it's super confusing - so i just say increase or decrease. :lol:

Julie, I will get night tests. I will force myself. Yes, I can consider it complacency, I'm super tired and feel he's been doing 'ok'. However, you are absolutely right, we don't want him going hypo! nailbite_smile

Ann, I took a picture of the piece of paper that I write his BG numbers on. It is quicker than pulling up the spreadhseet at 5am and with my schedule, I just find it easier right now. Things should be returning to some normalcy once I get moved. I work both jobs M-F (8am-11pm) and friday I pack and clean. I am storing my stuff in my folk's garage until moving day on the first. I also have a mini vacation coming up. My folks will be watching the cats from the 26th to the 30th. and I have everything lined out for them incase of an emergency. So if there is one, which I do not hope that there will be, she will be posting on my behalf. I also was quick to get out the door at lunch and forgot to get his numbers off the sheet again, OY!

Oh, I get it. If you get your phone out to take a pic of the note, why not just make a note on your phone?

it is easier to take a snapshot of the whole list vs typing it all in my phone. I live on the edge and am almost late every day here lately! so a pic is "snap and go" vs typing it all out...
