I ended up giving J.D. bupe last night. He only ate a couple teeny bites of LC (FF Roasted Chicken which Ginger gobbled up and FF Beef & Liver). So, I gave him 1/2 cypro and 1/4 onda and his methylcobalamin this morning. I syringed 17ml of MaxCal and gave him his bupe. He ate a good sized portion of MC FF Medleys and took a short walk, where he was licking his lips like he was going to throw up but didn't and maybe he didn't because of the onda? Anyway, he's acting a little out of it, so we would appreciate more vines for J.D. today, if you have any to spare.

I am totally late.. off to tbp.

HI guys .. sending lots of feel better thoughts J.D.'s way! Always such a worry when our babies are "off" .. Have a great day!

Lots of vines coming your way for JD. I hope he feels better soon. Lick lipping is never good. Have a great day Dyana!

J.D. doesn't want to eat, yet, but I have only just begun the evening. I gave him some cypro and ondansetron shortly after PMPS. I got home so late from work, his shot was almost a half hour late. I will try some other food in a while, and if he doesn't eat that, I'll syringe feed and try some MC.
My boss just announced to me that I am going to be taking on another project and so will have to work more hours on Sundays that I already do :-| It's either that or maybe I can go home to give J.D. his shot on Monday evenings and then go back to work on Monday nights. I so need to win the lottery.

Sending MEGA appy vines to J.D.

I am sorry J.D. doesn't want to eat, but like you said, it's still early.....
I'm sure you try a lot of different things to entice him, but I was thinking...
Sprinkling freeze dried treats he likes doesn't work at all?
I remember you said he likes shrimps, so maybe freeze dried shrimpies....the one Gracie loves.
Or dried scallps.....
Yesterday morning, Lucy didn't seem interested in eating in general, but when I offered some fishy food, she changed.
She sniffed and first automatically started to turn her nose up, and then did a double take, and then ate.
Those dried shrimps have much stronger aroma.... so I thought it may work better than seafood flavored cans if he likes shrimps.
If you are interested in trying these dried tiny shrimps, and you can't find it, I can probably send you some.
I just really sympathize and know how you feel as Lucy has appy that goes on/off.

Thanks Mariko. J.D. has these freeze dried shrimp. He ate them for a while, but wasn't crazy for them. Where do you get dried scallops? Now that he maybe will like :) I just think the fat content might be high for pancreatitis, but it is in the MaxCal he gets anyway and in the Orijen freeze dried treats he gets. The first LC he ate recently was a stash of some FF Cod Sole & Shrimp that I remembered I had. He ate most of that can. I just fed him some FF Tuna tonight, but he didn't want that much of it. He doesn't really like the texture of the Tuna, I don't think and never has. All the FF fish is really high in phosphorus too :?

He just ate a couple good sized bites of the FF Tuna spoon fed to him. I was going to say I don't know if it's the spoon feeding that he likes for some strange reason or the cypro starting to take affect or that he just ate at +11.5 and wasn't hungry when I got home and now he is.

I took him out for a very short walk in the awful heat spell we're having, and right now he is laying out on the wood deck next to the air conditioner.

I'll try to feed him some more soon. Thanks for your suggestions. :YMHUG:

Hi Dyana,
I hope that J.D. will be feeling much better soon. I'm sure the hot weather affects his appetite, too.

Bummer that your boss wants you to work even more extra hours than you already do! I hope you can work something out so that you can get some much needed rest.

Vines for J.D. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: s for you,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Dyana:

My goodness, I already thought you worked a lot, and now they want you to work more? :o  Can you bring J.D. with you during those extra hours like you sometimes do? I guess it's more $ for kitty supplies, right? (trying to find the positives here).

My kitties always eat less when it's hot, so maybe that's affecting J.D.'s appetite, on top of the other reasons that he's been eating less.

Sending lots of good appy vines.
