Happy Friday evening, everyone!

WCR: All Ps in place. She didn't seem exceptionally interested in eating this morning, so I decided to give her 1/4 tab cypro. However, I'm thinking she's over the Friskies Special Diet T&G. Dangit...I really thought that was going to be a great substitute for FF Chicken...at least for a while. Anyways, she surfed the yellows most of the morning/day while I was at the chiropractor and at school for lessons. I ran home between chiro & school to check and again between school and vet and she had eaten all of her fuds. I weighed her before I went to the vet and she was up to 9.30lbs (from 9.04lbs on Tuesday! :o ) The vet was kind and showed me how to give sub-q fluids (we used his sweet Siamese!)

My plan upon arriving home was to get on the board and set up Shasta's condo...but when I pulled up, I noticed that the 2 new horses had gotten out of their pasture and were in with my horse and his pasture buddy...NOT GOOD! nailbite_smile I caught a glimpse of my horse, high tailing it after one of the newbies and then turning and kicking. ohmygod_smile DAMMIT! As I'm quickly changing into my barn clothes, I'm calling the owner to ask if they were supposed to be in together...of course not. When I get out there, the 2 newbies are back in their pasture (gate wide open) and my horse and his buddy are standing in their pasture with these absolutely innocent looks plastered across their faces. They nonchalantly come up to the barn and into their stalls; meanwhile the 2 newbies walk back into Hamlet's pasture where their stalls are. The 2 new horses have gashes (probably from my horse asserting his dominance), but I think they'll live. Anyways, by the time I got them all sorted and fed, it was time to get Shasta t/s/f.

Long story kind of short...she seems to be feeling better and mostly eating better and I love the fact that she's gained some weight back. That made me very nervous. Oh, and her water intake is MUCH better. Also, she's not sneezing as much and her eyes aren't so watery and she's not rubbing her eyes. I did ask the vet if allergies could have affected her appetite and he said it is possible. I did not give Shasta any fluids tonight. I'm debating as to whether I will tomorrow morning (vet is open tomorrow from 8:30-1pm...just in case anything were to happen) or wait until Monday when I know they will be open all day. I'm such a nervous nelly!

Ok, sorry for the long post. Shasta is laid out across my lap right now and I think she really wants me to stop typing and go to bed. I will be around this weekend to get on the board and check in on people...will make a nice break while I clean and organize the dreaded back room/office. :YMSIGH: Sleep well!!!

Sending healthy vines to all our sugar kitties and their hoomins! Blessings!
