Yesterday's Condo

As predicted, a very late condo again. Cinco is a flat blue kitty tonight. He was kind enough to go green right as I left for the funeral this morning. I was ten minutes late. Luckily, it was a short service, and the burial was too far away for me to go. I was able to get home and test and feed him again before leaving for Sacramento. Cinco was not terribly hungry today, but he ate enough to make me feel okay with leaving him.

My doctor appointment went well - the incision is healing, no infection, but he said I'm not keeping it elevated often enough nor long enough - there's too much swelling. Who has time to sit with her feet up?? Sutures out in two weeks, and he'll do an x-ray to determine when the wire comes out. I can't believe it, but I actually looked at it while the bandages were off. I didn't get sick! I even took a picture with my cell phone. I'm thinking about posting it on Facebook, but I don't want to gross out all my friends!

Sasha had another good day - spent the night on the bed cuddling. Just gave her a midnight snack, then all food gets put away, since she goes under anesthesia for the CT Scan.

I rented a knee walker today. I'll give it a try tomorrow and see how I like it. It's gotta be more stable than crutches, right?

Sorry I had no time to read condos today. I should have time tomorrow. Thank you to everyone who visited my late condo from yesterday and wished us well. I'll let you know when I get the results of the scan.

Good luck with resting and keeping that foot elevated. I know...it is SO hard to do that sort of thing, even when it involves snuggling with awesome kitties. We need to learn how to slow down!

I'm glad Cinco stayed safe for you yesterday. It's frustrating to see those numbers when you have to be somewhere.

I'm glad your toe is healing well. I hope you can get the swelling down and the knee walker helps.

I just had to go see what a "knee walker" looked like!

What a cool idea! They even have them with little baskets attached to the front....a place for Sasha to sit!! :lol:

But it sure looks like it'll be very helpful with your current situation, as well as keeping your foot up...and definitely more stable than crutches! Easier on your arms too

Cinco...you and China better be good kitties today....I mean it..any funny business and I'm going to be talking to your mamabean about grounding you from the next OTJ party along with China!
