Good morning! Last night I could not get a test after pmps due to the fireworks(war zone) here. She was way up under moms bed somewhere and I just left her alone. The fireworks sounded like missles and bombs for goodness sake, and went on til after midnight(neighbors!) I thought even if I could get a test, she would be stress elevated like last night. I got a 104 this am, so I dont know how low or high she was. I go to work in a few hours, always later on Sat. so I will get a +1 and +2 before I go and mom will take over then. I used to like fireworks btw, but having pets changed my mind, now I dread them!! :evil: Have a great weekend everyone!

I think fireworks pretty much scare any animal. I had an outdoor kitty that would try and hide from the noise. Didn't work. Chi Chi's giving you a lovely # this morning. I hope that she gives you a lovely surf, also. Have a great day!

Hi Angela. My animals are all different when it comes to being scared of stuff. My drooler, Misty, who is 14 btw, barked for about 15 seconds when they started, and then just slept through them all night. Chi Chi and civvie Molly just hide, and civvie Putter, well nothing scares her.. nothing!

Hi Laura, I am with you on the fireworks-it was like a war zone last night-and it didn't stop until way after midnight! :roll: On the other hand, Chi-Chi is looking good this morning, so I hope all of you have a great day! That's nice that Saturday is a shorter day for you, btw! :smile:

Wrong way Chi Chi! maybe she did go low overnight and is rising to a bounce today..hmmm. Off to work and mom will wait til feed time at+5 to test cuz I dont see her dropping too low before then even if she were to start dropping. Mom will of course call if she needs me, but I have faith she can handle any diving that may occur later on, and I always call her anyway whether she calls me or not, just to ease my mind!

Seems like there were a lot of "neighbors" shooting off fireworks...we had it going on here for quite some time, too. I feel sorry not only for our pets, but also for all the wildlife out there....

I see Chi Chi has started to slowly turn it back around. Work that juice, Chi Chi!

Sorry about the fireworks. I'm surprised there aren't more ordinances that keep neighbors from firing them off. We have pretty strict ones around here because of the threat of fire in the summer. The resorts, etc, have to get permits and they are tightly regulated.
