Yesterday's slide and dive then onto the trampoline

 AMPS, which we shall not talk further about. No surprises today, and we got a +6 even though it looked unnecessary, which is what we thought yesterday. The beans are still recovering from yesterday's PMPS surprise.

All is better in Zener's domain today. Appy was happy, poo patrol was successful, and yard patrol was much more steady this morning. We did a shave yesterday evening so we shall see what happens with the new dose.

We have a cable technician coming shortly to install a new wireless router and replace our DVR box with a TiVo. We are very excited to be able to record four programs at once, especially during Tour de France time! Our vacuum lady is coming today too, so the kitties will likely be spending the rest of the afternoon under the beds. Pokey break declared.

Wishing all a lovely Fursday in LL.

Gracie and Tobey are calling the whole krewe to come over with the ropes. Come on down Zener!! At least his WCR is super!!!

Ugh on the car repairs. A week! Holy cow! Did they send to China for the parts?

I thought you had a pc as you were asking about Quicken 2014 for a pc. But now it sounds like you have a MAC (which is what I thought you had). We love our Time Capsule. I'm wondering why it doesn't work with the rest of the stuff. We have other "toys" using the Time Capsule as a router and it works like a charm. I wonder if it is a difference in the ISP? We used to have TIVO and loved it but now we have a DVR. Actually, we have two and each one has two lines coming in (don't ask) so we can record four programs on each one. Of course, we've never done it   But we could so isn't that the point in this day of e-excess? ;-)

Have a great day and send some rain our direction if you have it.

Nice report for Zener today, except for that AMPS. I hope he likes the new dose. I hope the wireless router installation goes well.

Yo Z Man, i'm here to help with the ropes, too.
Rusty

Hi guys, I hope the new router will do the trick. If it isn't possible to use the big Time Capsule for backups, you can get backup drives very inexpensively these days. I have a Seagate portable drive 2 Terrabites and it works great with the MAC automatic time capsule backups.

TIVO sounds great. All you have to do is have time to watch all thos things you tape!

@Marje and Gracie - thanks to the kitties for making the trek up the hill with the ropes. Haha on the week for car repair. They have to take the transmission apart and find out where the bad seal is, then order the proper parts and put it all back together. It's a busy time for the shop so I left the jeep so they can get at it in their free spurts. You are probably right about the parts being made in China, it is an American car. Liz is our techie, so hopefully she will sort out how to get the time capsule in the mix. We are a bi-operating system family. Liz uses a PC desktop and now has a macpro laptop. I bought a new smaller mac book pro for traveling and gave her my one year old larger macbook pro for her birthday. I have a iMac desktop for home use and we both have iPads. Wish we had some rain to send you, ours has gone east and according to our weather guy, we are having a week-long break, drat!

@carla - all is installed except for an ethernet splitter, whatever that is and whatever that does. Zener stayed out in the living room the entire time and watched the tech guy do his stuff. Now Zener wants a tool belt.

@Ella & Rusty - thanks for the tip on the Seagate, I have a 1T "my drive" for backups. We are still hoping the Time Capsule will work - it will let us back up five devices. If not, I will follow your example, and return it! Liz got it sorted out quickly how to record, so we could catch today's stage of the TDF.
Hey Rusty - thanks for the ropes. I can almost see the ground now. - Zener

Looks like the ropes worked!

You all sound like us....no, wait....maybe worse. For computers, we only have one iMac and a PC laptop. I hope your IT person (aka Liz) can get it all working.

Same thing for us on the monsoon but it's supposed to be back Saturday. I hope!

Okay everyone, you can ease up on the ropes now. :?

It's a black and green and everything in between kind of day.

I bought two new computers when I retired, an iMac desktop for home use and a smaller and lighter macbook pro laptop for all my traveling. And yes, there is always something worse.
