7/18 Trixie AMBG 179 "+3" 71 PMBG 146

Yesterday

Not a pretty AMBG, but Mr P brought his A-game and dropped her 108 points without the aid of juice. That crazy pancreas! Today was a "poop day", and I still wonder if there is a connection to these higher BGs and poop.

Civvie Petey's appy is off today, too...once again praying for a hairball and/or summer appy. His demeanor is fine, and the last couple days he was beyond 100% himself. My nerves can't take this.

Forgive me for not visiting much these days...I am thinking of and praying for everyone here, but I am also still trying to digest the news about my Dad. We are waiting for the latest round of test results before we can determine what is next. This is so unreal...he'll be 82 in September, but until all of this, he has never had a health issue in his entire life...he barely takes meds for high BP. Even the doctors can't believe he's as old as he is, because he's in such great shape. All the prayers are greatly appreciated...

Amy, just catching up on condos this morning instead of btb. So sorry to read about your dad's dx. As I learned two years ago with a cancer diagnosis, surgery and chemo, one step at a time. His good health will serve him well; the only meds I had in the house at the time of dx was a bottle of Tylenol that had expired in 2007. My good health was key to getting through the experience without too much trouble and coming out the other side in better shape than I'd been before. It's not a sprint, it's a marathon. But it's still just one step at a time. Prayers and light for you, your dad and family.

Such good news about Trixie. Maybe she knew she needed to take a big hunk of concern off your plate before your dad's dx?

Sending continued healing vines for your dad and your whole family, including Petey!

I'm giving Trix a pokey break from her follow up pokey, as I do most evenings, since the majority of the time when I test her, she is back to greens after fuds. As I said earlier, crazy pancreas!

Petey's appy has picked up throughout the day, and so far this evening, he has eaten normally. I tell ya, these guys know how to make a bean turn gray.

Thank you for all the prayers and encouragement and stories. I can't even begin to tell you how much it comforts me. My Dad is in "get the affairs in order" mode right now. I don't like being this much of an adult, but if this is what he needs to feel secure, then so be it. I'll be going with them to their appointment next week once all the reports are in, and we will plan from there. Hopefully my older brother will be able to go as well, but he is traveling for business next week, so he's up in the air. I'm starting to get over the shock mode and get into the "we're going to kick this in the a$$ mode".
