Good Morning, Everyone,

Rusty had a good night. He woke us up during the dawn chorus (about an hour before we normally get up) and proceeded at that point to eat all of his nighttime food. So his AMPS is food-influenced. We had a good test and shot, a good schmooze, and he is now watching the Tour.

Beans have lots to do today to get ready for Canoe Outing, which starts tomorrow. I always help with registration and Edward helps with setting up the common room. The paddle trips start on Tuesday. Tomorrow the paddlers arrive beginning at noon and we have a happy hour, dinner, and the first meeting (when the leaders of trips propose their trips for the next day and the participants sign up for a trip that interests them--or one that still has room, since in Wilderness Classification areas there is a limit to the number of people in a group). The weather promises to be very warm and no doubt we will get some rain. But it's all part of the experience. Rusty will hold the fort all day this coming week. We'll be sleeping at home, but will leave early every day to have breakfast in the cafeteria. I will get back after eating my cafeteria dinner fast to do PMPS and give Rusty his dinner before heading back for the evening meeting every day. This is a bit hectic, and by not staying in our dorm room we don't have as much time to socialize with friends in the evenings, but our kitty comes first. We are just so happy that Canoe Outing is close enough to where we live that we can do it. We've been coming to Canoe Outing for about 12 years and it was because we fell in love with this part of the Adirondacks during our first Canoe Outing that we decided to retire here.

Wishing you all a good day and continuing to send healing vines to all kitties and beans who need some. Thinking of Sienne.

That's not a bad start considering it is food influenced. That's great the canoe outing is close enough for you to be able to participate.

Looks like Rusty wanted a big splash in the lagoon...start surfing now, Rusty!

The canoe outing sounds like a lot of work but also a LOT of fun. Have a great time with all of it, Ella!

HI Ella ~O) ~O) ~O)

What a nice recovery for Rusty, even with that food influenced amps. it looks like it has been a great day for him. I love the wake up call before you actually needed to be up. It so reminds me of the days of the Kitty choir here, when BJ did that, with Elsa and Mannie's help.

Hooray for Canoe Outing!! I love this week, and reading what you have to say about it all. it all sounds like such a grand adventure. I did not know that this outing was the reason for your move there. That is cool.

Have a great evening Ella. I hope your day has been a good one.

Hi again,

Rusty moped around all day because he knows Canoe Outing is starting tomorrow and he'll have to hold the fort. He didn't want to eat his fuds (but eventually he did, because he was hungry). He did enjoy lots of outdoor time this afternoon. This evening I took his dose back down a drop to a straight 1.25 units (1.89mm on digital calipers, Terumo syringe) because we won't be able to monitor as often as usual next week.

Thanks for visiting. I'll try to do a report every day during Canoe Outing, but after tomorrow Rusty's condo won't be posted until late in the evening. Rusty invites his pals to visit him, and he plans to visit Elsa, Bug and Lola at Mannie's tree house.

Thinking of you all and of your kitties and continuing to send healing vines to all in need.

Wow Ella, you are going to be super busy this week, and looking at Rusty's PMPS and +4.5, good thing you're home to monitor! :-D Have a good time tomorrow and Rusty, you surf safely!

Looks like the Lagoonmeister reported for duty today and pulled a double shift! Surf safely, now Rusty, and be on your best behavior this week while the beans are paddling!

This sounds like a fun, hectic week, Ella. Enjoy!
