Yesterday's Condo

Only a portion of the cleaning got done yesterday. I had a ton of errands to run -- mostly related to details of my sister's estate. If I can offer any advice, make lists of ALL of your financial sources including websites and passwords. Keep any e-mail accounts active for at least 4 months. (My sister's primary e-mail was through her university account. She handled most of her finances on-line. I'm getting notices about statements being ready for accounts that I knew absolutely nothing about and when I spoke with her accountant, he didn't know of them, either.) At the very least, you need to bring in death certificates so any account activity is suspended. So far, I've come across 2 checking accounts I knew nothing about and her accountant knew only about one of them.

Gabby has finally figured out that if she wants Gizmo to leave her alone, all she needs to do is curl up next to me. Given that she starts to purr as soon as I touch her, it's a win-win for everyone except Gizmo. He's been wandering around the apartment enjoying the sound of his own loud voice.

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. I know how difficult it is to try & piece together someone's financial life when the documentation isn't concise or up-to-date.

Thank you for your detailed reply to my questions. Your explanations, examples, and caveats made so much sense, and gave me a broader perspective. I replied in my condo, but essentially I'll try the '12%' example you gave me, & see how Tigger responds. You brought up many other good points that I'll be pondering for some time.

Glad to see Gabby is doing well, :mrgreen: ; sounds like she & Gizmo are 'fine-tuning' their relationship, too!
