8/10 Billie PMPS 192

Hello everyone!

Billie's itching is getting a lot better, thank goodness!! The smaller bumps are almost gone, and the bigger bumps are getting smaller. She is itching herself a lot less.

We're getting back on track after an 18 hour cycle yesterday. It looks like it's going to be a flat blue day, which is perfectly fine with me.

Billie did something funny yesterday. Brooklyn was hanging out in Billie's favorite spot (window seat bed #1). Billie walked into the room after having a snack and headed for the window seat, probably planning to preen and nap there...but she stopped when she saw Brooklyn. She stared at her for a minute, thinking. Window seat bed #2 was available, but instead of settling for that, she headed straight for Brooklyn's favorite spot (my sweater shelf in the closet). She never ever hangs out there, but I guess she thought, "if Brooklyn has my favorite spot, I must have Brooklyn's favorite spot." :lol:

Isn't it funny when you can just tell what they're thinking? Cats are so much smarter than non-catpeople give them credit for. They are a constant delight, and that is why we love them so and go to so much trouble to keep them healthy.

It's good to see that Billie didn't lose any momentum with the 18 hour cycle. What a great tool for those of us that are trying to have a life outside FD.

Glad to read that Billie's itchies and bumps are improving. It's great that you were immediately able to pin down what the suspect ingredient was. She looks like she's getting right back on track for you with the 18 hour cycle. That's something we've never tried, but it's neat to see how it works in practice. Definitely a good option for the FD "tool-box."

That's funny about Billie taking Brooklyn's favorite sleeping spot. :lol: We have five cats, and the kitty politics behind sleeping spot maneuverings is mind-bogglingly complicated.

Cats are so smart! Kitty politics... :lol: :lol: :lol: That is definitely a real thing. Even between my two girls, the dynamic is pretty complicated. Their first introduction resulted in an ER trip for poor Billie after Brooklyn gave her a bad bite or scratch to the bum. I made the mistake of introducing them too quickly, though. After that, they lived as "roommates" for a while, sort of neutral toward each other. Now, 5 years later, they are family. They do sweet things like groom each other and relax together...but they still have their drama, of course.
