Happy furry purry for Tarragon today with all 5 p's present. Lots of talking and snuggles this morning for our birthday boy.
It is a good time to tell lil T's story. Sorry if you have heard it before. Tarragon's mom had been found in an alley severely dehydrated. She had given birth to 4 kitties that had all died. The vet took her in and rehydrated her. A week later she gave birth to Tarragon. She passed a week later and the vet had been syringe feeding T. That is when we came into the picture. We decided to get a second kitty when it was obvious that Turnup had attached to DH and Mason desperately wanted his own kitty. Mason already knew that his kitty would be named Tarragon, his favorite spice. Off to the vet we went since they always had kitties for adoption. There were about 15 kitties there and Mason was so excited to pick one out. He immediately went to Tarragon's cage and said that was the one. Because of his rough start, Tarragon was not the most attractive kitty. ;-) DH and I tried to get Mason to look at some of the others but he was determined that T was his new kitty. He was only 5 weeks old when we got him.
What a great decision it turned out to be. He and Mason were (and still are) inseparable. He has added so much love and fun to our lives that I can't imagine our house without him. He was diagnosed with asthma when he was 5 and diabetes when he was 10. Through it all he has been such a happy furry purry guy always. Like all of you, Tarragon and I have formed a very special bond that we never would have had without FD.
Happy Birthday Tarragon! We love you to the moon and back and are so grateful that you picked Mason out that day almost 14 years ago.
