Not off to a bad start considering that I fed him 10cc at +10 before his AMPS. No further vomiting overnight, but he was very restless and drank much more than usual. I hate seeing him feel poorly. :sad:

The snack trick looks like it worked this time! This is is first green PMPS after a +9 snack. Still no vomiting today. Hoping it stays that way. However, I may have flubbed it with a furshot. *crossing fingers that it wasn't*

I saw your comment yesterday about giving him 10cc at +10, i think.

You might try giving him just 5cc (1 teaspoon) of regular low carb food at +9. The purpose is to stimulate his pancreas into producing some insulin.

We don't suggest more than a teaspoon because you don't want the carbs to increase his BGs in the latter half of the cycle when the insulin's strength is waning.

hope he feels better today. for your sake too - it's worrisome when kitties feel yucky.

I was trying for the +9 snack, but since I overslept, I just went ahead and gave him a little food at +10 to ward off excess stomach acid. If he goes more than about 4 hours without food he often becomes nauseated, so I didn't want him going that long last night. I hope to get back to that today since he hasn't vomited in a while. He's not feeling very well though and his numbers are just a bit higher than usual.

I think I may have given my first furshot tonight... Feel terrible about that. I hope I haven't set him back. :cry:

Welp, if I did mess up that shot, he's not showing it yet. Let's hope it stays that way.

Don't be hard on yourself. Every one of us has given a fur shot from time to time. Shadow will get back on track quickly.
