Good Morning World! Welcome to our home! Yesterday

KT
AMPS 271

Becoming very concerned about KT, can't cut the diarrhea this time with anything. He refused food this morning until I finally gave in and opened a can of 'Prime Fillets' with gravy. Rinsed/drained most of gravy, he then ate the whole can. His mind isn't working well, he's peed and pooped in the bedroom floor yesterday and today. He wanders around looking confused a lot, can't seem to find his litter box even tho' it's not moved in years. I'm going thru cleaning spray like crazy but we'll continue as long as he wants to keep going. Sure is hard to watch our beautiful baby go downhill so far.

DAKOTA
AMPS 371

Mr. Dakota came up and stomped all over us sleeping people about 6am - he was HUNGRY. I got up, opened and served food then stumbled back to bed - didn't test then. When we got up about 7:30, he had a nice food spike going. It's SO nice to see PINK AMPS rather than those ugly reds and blacks and knowing it's got food in it is a cause for a YARD DANCE! He's a perfect example of TOO MUCH insulin driving numbers up instead of down. He's feeling much better and even shows his onery streak every once in a while.

Dad Update - he's now at the new 'Nana's Place' nursing home. They sedated him quite heavily to move him, DM met him when he arrived, he did recognize her. She was able to stay with him for several hours and even help him eat dinner. She was upset that they were giving him so much medicine but she's going to have to learn to deal with it - she wants him 'like he was' which is gone forever. I SO hope she let's them do their job and keep him comfortable. When he gets irritated and violent, it just does more damage to the rest of his body. This is still going to be a long nasty road ahead....Parkinson's STINKS!

JOHNNY UPDATE!!! He actually ran 2 full hard 'rounds' with Junior this morning - tail and ears up, oh my heart is singing! He's still got his switch in the ON position and is doing so much better. He STILL hasn't peed on the floor again - 5 days now!!

Baby 'Bug Bug' learns new things very quickly - she also hasn't peed in her crate in 2 days! She now understands 'Go Potty' and does it each time I take her outside! In the 2.5 weeks she's been here, she's learned 'sit', 'down', 'no', 'no bark', 'hush' and 'go potty'...she's going to make someone a wonderful companion. She got her nails clipped yesterday - wasn't overjoyed with having to sit still while I did it but we did get them all.

All other fuzzy feetz are doing well. Kitties Moo, Lily, Pepper and Monkey have all decided it's sleepy time again altho' Monkey had to check everyone else's food bowls to be sure there wasn't any crumbs left. Droolers Sassy, Sasha, Darla and Ginny are sleeping in piles with full tummys, I no longer hear Bug talking so they're all sleeping with full tummys too. BlueDrooler didn't have diarrhea so got that under control, Chloe and Star are fly chasing - silly big girls.

We're about to wash my big red truck so must close!

Special thoughts and prayers for Emily losing Prince and Amy's dad as he goes thru chemo. Also JD and Dyana continue in our thoughts as well as Cassandra losing Cera. There's other's I'm missing so please add them to this list too.

BIG HUGS to all that visit today! Join our YARD DANCE!!! ...but better use mosquito spray first...

You deal with so much every day. It's amazing that you keep that sunny tone in your condo. Sending appy vines and prayers for your dear KT. I know this is a very difficult time.

Yay for Dakota and a pink AMPS. Yay for the onery streak showing up - means he's feeling better!

Great report on the puppies. You are working wonders with them. They are so lucky to be rescued by you!

Sending calming vines for your DF and hugs and prayers for you and your DM. When our loved ones age and have issues, whether they have two feet or four, it's very hard to watch.

Wow Lyresa! I get tired just reading your condo!

You sure have a lot going and it's a testament to what an awesome person you are that you can continue to take such great care of everyone and maintain your sanity at the same time!

Dealing with aging parents on top of the furry footed ones just adds that much more to your plate, and yet you're managing it well. My dad went through alzheimer's before his death so I know the kind of thing you're going through with your DF. It's a blessing that he was able to recognize your DM and that she's able to spend some time with him. Hopefully she'll come to realize that the doctors are doing what's best for him and understand there's good reasons for the medications they've got him on.

Will join in your Happy Dance for Dakota too!! Don't need the bug spray...I'm one of those lucky people that they don't seem to like!

Hope the rest of your Caturday is quiet!
