Falling a bit fast this morning, but hoping it wont be a big deal. If he's planning to go super low, he seems to do so by about +4. Gave him a bit of extra food at +2 and a "super sized" meal at +3.5 just now. Just want to keep him from bouncing again if I can.

Glad that yesterday's bounce seemed a lot smoother than his prior bounces.

A bit worried about going back to work tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get into some nice smooth cycles. If not, I'll have to load the feeder with pizza or something.

Looks like Tink is wanting a smooth ride this morning! He and Clare seem to be both calming down from their bounces. Maybe they've decided it's no fun getting so dizzy! confused_cat

Have a great day, Jen.

And we've surfed into green! :) He went from pink to blue a little fast this morning, but seems to be getting the hang of this surfboard! Now if we can just stay away from the trampoline when he's done surfing.

Hmm. Looks like Tink is starting to figure out this dose. That drop could cause another bounce  , but we'll keep our paws crossed that it doesn't.

Jen, I can't remember if you've answered this question before, so forgive me, but do you have an automatic feeder? Most people that work all day swear by them. It will give you some peace of mind if Tink has food available during the time you're not home to check on him. If you don't have one and need a recommendation, there are plenty of us here that use them.

Tink, time to hop up on your pretty green surfboard and take it easy the rest of the day!

I do. I have the PetSafe5 and it's been a life saver!

The main problem is figuring out how I need to load it on any given day, since Tink likes to mix it up. Tink WILL eat anything I throw at him (or that he finds anywhere in the house - including pizza, couscous, tomatoes, zucchini and plastic grocery bag handles). So, I can't just load it up with food and leave or I'll have a 15lb cat (again). He spends most of his day sitting by (or on) the feeder staring at it, as if he thinks he can open it with his mind. So figuring out what his food needs are going to be for the day is a challenge.

The +2s have been a pretty good indicator thus far. I generally load the feeder at 5am (with his first meal of the day in the open slot) ASSUMING a normal flat cycle, with a piece of zucchini (which seems to satisfy his tummy but doesn't carb load him) at +3 and his next regular meal at +4. I don't leave in the morning till I've gotten a +2, so then if I feel things need to be changed (or meals added, etc) I reprogram/reload the feeder for what is needed (9/19 is a good example of an "off" day - all the food without test #s was via autofeeder).

It seems that when he goes way low, his +2 really shows it. Then again, today's +2 was a pretty big drop and he didn't go that low - but he started out higher... so I don't know. I really wish it was an exact science as it would make life a LOT easier around here!

Hoping we aren't starting another bounce. 137 is a great number... but it took him 3 hours to go from 137 to 88 - and only an hour an a half to get back to 137 again. :?

I'll aim for a +9 and see where things stand.

Hi there

Tink is working the juice today!!
