9/25 Trixie AMBG 142 "+3" 125

Yesterday

These "+3" readings are making me a little edgy...I have to keep reminding myself that I have changed my schedule, and therefore her feeding and testing schedule have changed, too. This test was taken about +1.25 after her last fuds. I'm not working on Saturday, and I should (in theory!) be home all day, so I can grab a random and genuine "fuds +3" test during the day. (I can't get a true "fuds +3" during the evenings because there really isn't a 3 hour break between feedings...I offer her food fairly frequently from the time I get home from work till the time I turn in.)

She is snuggly and appy is pretty happy, although she was a little fussy about "leftovers" yesterday...needed "fresh from the can" instead :roll: ....typical spoiled kitty :lol: !

My Dad is feeling good, too...not a single belly ache since eliminated dairy. Today is "disconnect" day, when they remove his 2-day chemo-to-go pump, and the post chemo crash usually starts the next day. No doubt he will still have the extreme fatigue, but it will be interesting to see if that is the only crash symptom he has this time around, as opposed to how incredibly crappy he felt the last time. Hopefully that crappy feeling was related to the dairy...we shall see!

WOot! A good start today for Trixie. I can understand the anxiety over the +3, but when one realizes that it really is more a so soon after fuds, and more like a +1.5 after fuds, I think it is in line with Mr P getting the move on. I bet she hits the greens shortly after. Still great numbers! Go Trixie, and show mama a green, 'K? We know they are there.....

haha ;-) and I so remember that "FRESH from the can!" I can so see that look on Mannie's face when it was leftovers.

Good news on your dad. I too hope he continues to feel good, no crappy appy. Paws crossed!

Ya know, Amy, I'm wondering if you should even take those "+3" readings on the days when you KNOW they are going to be higher than you want. Why torture yourself? Unless the AMBG is in the stratosphere, you can be pretty confident Trixie is going to come down, anyway. I know - helicopter Mom can't help herself.

Fussy over leftovers, huh? I currently have four half-eaten cans of cat food in my kitchen, and even though they were all greeted with enthusiasm when they were initially served, I can't get anyone to touch the remainder now! I really hate washing perfectly good cat food down the drain!

Sending lots of healing vines and prayers that your DF has a good "disconnect" day, and that he doesn't feel terrible tomorrow!

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing....I'm just too much of a helicopter :roll: . Even though she's not hitting green, it IS good to see the drop, though.....it's hard to cut yourself off from pokey tests after years of doing them ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile ohmygod_smile .....
