Good morning! Im still using the new vial, and havent seen green on it yet. It brings her numbers down, just not enough. I dont know if insulin just goes bad completely, or if it can be good but weakened. The old vial is still good, I know, because she got to 46 on it a week or so back. Debating whether to just go back to it and finish it up, then splurge for a new one full price. The new one was from Craigslist and arrived room temp. I just need to get on with one or the other, so will give the new one a couple more cycles. Have a great Caturday everyone!

Tough one on the vial. I have a half vial and a still-some-left-in-it pen sitting in the refrigerator 'cuz the girl's numbers were going up with them. Suspect they were fine, just too unsure to keep using.

Hope the next couple of cycles give you some answers.

We have green at +5, however, I omitted her 2nd feeding of 1/4 can at normal time of +3.5, so maybe thats why? We give 1/2 can ff lc at amps and then 1/4 can ff lc at +2.5 and +3.5(roughly). Maybe I should give 3/4 can at amps and only 1/4 can after first test and omit the second altogether. Then she gets another 1/2 can ff lc for mid day meal at +5 and again at pmps. Not always, but then again at pmps+3 she gets another 1/4 can ff lc. I feel its important to feed the curve, but not sure if Im doing it right :? I also dont want to overload the pancreas, hence the smaller multiple meals. Her pre dx weight was always 18 lbs, and at dx she was 13.9, currently 15.45 lbs. Trial and error for sure..

I really do think our kitties read the condos and do the opposite of what we say just to mess us up! So nice to see some green today.

I know a lot of people try food manipulations to steer the curve. Elise has been doing it a lot, and Jen has, too. Maybe they'll be able to share some tips about what seems to work best for them. Since ECID, though, I think you'll probably just have to do some trial-and-error with it. I was a weak bean and just fed Jersey pretty much all the time () so I can't offer many suggestions to you.
