Yesterday's Condo

Last Night:

I just typed a whole last condo, and timed out and lost it.

I have to type super fast now.

I thought I broke my Magic Bullet last night. I felt bad about syringing so many syringes last night after J.D. ate pretty decently for him yesterday evening but I didn't know what else to do. He wasn't too happy about all those syringes.

He had a really nice poo this morning.

Dr. Z said not to worry about the Magnesium, that cats with kidney disease have fluctuating magnesium and not to be concerned.

back to work....
and Send.

Bummer on all the syringe feedings! Come on J.D., if you eat mamabean won't have to bring out those nasty syringes!

J.D. seemed in a better mood when I got home from work like he had forgiven me.
He ate some FF Chunky Turkey on a plate set on the sliding glass door sill after our first walk. Not enough, but a decent amount for one small meal. We went for another walk, and then he got his fluids, and finally got some syringes and his meds at +1. It's now over +2, and I need to finish up the syringe feeding and get to bed.

I was relieved to hear the Dr. say that about the Magnesium. I put in a call for his Nutritionist Vet to call me tomorrow, to help guide me with what to do to get him to eat more. Originally she said to try to feed him 90% of what he was getting (100 calories BID instead of 110) only when I was home like on the weekends. So, he is eating some food, and maybe 10% of his food is eaten on his own, but how do I go from here?

I should also get another phone call from either his regular vet, or his other Internal Medicine Vet tomorrow to discuss the Magnesium. On my phone message to the Nutritionist Vet I asked her if she knew any foods that were higher in Magnesium.

Anyway, I'm tired, it's just about bedtime.

I hope you all have a good night.
