10/1 Trixie AMBG 139 "+3" 96

Yesterday

We haz :mrgreen: ! Trix is feeling awesome this morning...she's in Snuggle HyperDrive, Mr P is kicking it, and appy is quite happy. Gelcap took a couple tries, but basically went down without incident. Mamabean needs to get up and put in a workout before work, but as much as I love a good workout, it's hard to consider it with a nice, warm kitty on your lap!

My Dad was still in a funk yesterday...partly the crash, partly still bothered by my older brother's ego and attitude and arrogance (long story, but he and my Dad are in similar fields and my brother - unintentionally I'm sure - constantly "focuses" on all of his personal accomplishments, rather than being interested in what others around him are up to.). I hope my Dad snaps out of it soon; I don't have much hope for my brother, though....

Sorry, I've managed to miss your condo the past two days, so I didn't know your DF had a post-chemo crash. It does sound like it was shorter and somewhat lighter than the first two, though, right? Sending lots of healing vines and prayers for him.

I'm so sorry your brother is being such a pain. Has he always been this way? Self-centered, I mean? If so, I'm thinking there isn't any way to change him. Talking to him about it is probably pointless. I wish there was a magic vine I could send you to make him see what he's doing. Guess I'll just have to send hugs instead. :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Yeah, Tricia....my brother has always been like that. He's very smart, very successful, and very cocky. Of course, though, I think he really doesn't realize how obnoxious he sounds. He's basically a good guy, and his intentions are good and he's worked hard to get where he is, but....he just sounds...obnoxious. You have to experience it...it's hard to explain. And right now, with all that is going on, my Dad is extra-sensitive to it. I really don't know how to address it.....and of course they are stoic men, so they won't hash it out. On top of that, my other brother is the polar opposite...53, barely occassionally employed, can't support himself so he (along with one of his sons) lives with my parents. Lots and lots of tension...I'm sure my Dad never thought little old me, who left a stable but boring corporate job to open a bead store, would be the only one with any common sense :lol: !

So sorry you and your Dad have to deal with your brother's seeming insensitivity. Families. Yup, you gotta love 'em, but you don'??t always have to like 'em! Hope your dad realizes that the son wouldn't be what/who he is without the dad. Well, the smart, the success...not the obnoxious part.

Hope your dad gets some good days this cycle. Three down? That's good. On the road to getting done. I remember thinking "wow, six months of this ... arghhhhhh! But then I was done and it really didn't seem that long. Easier to say I suppose once those infusions are over!
